What is a horse mask?

To your right you should see exactly what a horse mask is. Seems crazy, you wouldn't be caught alive wearing one. Surprisingly, these things have been growing crazily popular all over the world, but especially in America. Hopefully after this article you will have a little more knowledge on what a horse mask is, and why people wear them. If you already happen to know a good amount about horse masks, perhaps you will learn more about them.

Why do people wear these insane things?

There are a few reasons I've been given as to why people would wear these.

  • To remain anonymous

This is one of the top reasons people wear them. Just like the ever popular Guy Fawkes masks, or any mask, people wear them to stay anonymous. Personally not my favorite way of staying anonymous, but hey, some people are doing it.

  • Ensues Hilarity

These things start fun wherever you go. Just looking at someone wearing a horse mask will get a laugh out of most people. It's just insanely random and crazy.

  • Entertains Children

Little kids love these. Crawl up to your little boy/girl and go "neeiigh". Chances are they'll burst into laughter.

There isn't many other reasons I could come up with as for why people would wear these things. I just know I've been seeing them pop up everywhere over the past few months.

Publicity

Believe it or not, a lot of people take hilarious pictures of themselves with these masks on and share them on the internet. It's a huge thing on the popular website Reddit, (http://www.reddit.com/r/horsemask). It even has it's own meme that has been surfacing around the internet. As I said, they have grown quite viral over the past few months. With over 700 reviews on Amazon (at the time of this post), you could say it's been selling well too.

Summary

Horse masks, although insanely strange, can be a lot of fun. Hopefully you understand what a horse mask is after reading this article.
