Glam Glow SuperMud Review

Updated on September 28, 2014

I first heard about the masks from a beauty blogger on Youtube Link to video: . This girl knows what she's talking about. A few months back I was on the hunt for some good quality hair extensions and a friend referred me to her Hair extension video- Link here: and I was hooked. Not only did I get the bellami hair extensions, but I was hooked. Anyway.. back to the mask!

Glam Glow Mud isn't just the typical mud you'd find in your backyard, though.. The ingredients listed on the package are extensive and are followed by a description of each one. I LOVE this. Not only do I know what's going on my face, I also know what it's doing. This specific SuperMud mask is targeted towards treating acne and pretty much any type of blemish you can find on your face and neck area.

The front of the packaging shows a list of issues the mask is designed to treat. Here are a few:

  • Pores
  • Problem Skin
  • Blemishes
  • Zits
  • Razor Bumps
  • In-Grown Hairs
  • Spots

  • Acnecidic-6- 4.4%:6-Acid AHA & BHA Blend, PH Blanaced.
  • Glycolic Acid: Helps Improve Skin Texture.
  • Salicylic Acid: Helps De-clog to Minimize Pores.
  • Lactic: Helps Pigmentation & Skin Collagen.
  • Mandelic: Helps Aging Skin & Skin Elasticity.
  • Pyruvic: Helps the Effects of Scarring.
  • Azelaic: Helps Fight Breakouts.
  • Teaoxi: Eucalyptol, Linalool oil & Flavonoids.
  • K-17 Clay: Extreme Toxin Encapsulation
  • Activated X: Vacuum-Carbon Extraction
  • Licorice Root: Helps Regulate Problem Skin
  • Peppermint Plant: Helps Irritation
  • Eucalyptus Leaf: Helps Complications.

Um, yes, please. After my teenage years I had the clearest skin known to man! but at 22 I started to break out.. a lot. It started with a few and it seemed like once one would clear up two would take it's place! On top of that.. add the scarring? yep, my interest was piqued.

After doing some research and watching many more videos (I like to do my research before trying anything new) I realized I had to really commit if I wanted to use this product... on the site this mask retails for $69!!! what??? I had never ever EVER spent that much on any type of beauty mask or beauty regime whatsoever. Sooooo, I did what any smart girl would do and on my next trip the mall I skipped right over to Sephora and Nabbed a sample.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED it, but how much can you really learn from a small one-time sample?

My birthday came around and my amazing husband bought me the full size bottle. When I saw it, I literally cried. I had wanted to try this product for so long, but of course he knew that. I talked about nothing else the entire summer. haha. Love you, Babe. ^_^

Ok, So now for the good part. The moment I saw the mask I wanted to break it open and dig into that baby, but I had a dinner date to get ready for! The second we got back I washed all my make up off and applied a thin layer, but still made sure my entire face was covered. Here's a pic of what this stuff looks like:

My Results

It looks pretty unappealing.. but it smells SOOO good. One of the ingredients is peppermint so I'm sure you can imagine how minty it smells.

At first when I started using the mask I would apply it every other day, I did this for about a week. I started seeing results after the first time I used it! Right after I washed it off my face felt so firm and smooth, the next day it was still feeling smooth and firm! I was in heaven. After about a week I started to notice I wasn't breaking out as much anymore. I had a zit here and there but nothing like it was AND the scars I had from previous breakouts were beginning to fade. Nothing drastic of course, but my skin looked brighter and it felt cleaner.

I have extremely oily skin and this stuff controls my oil like nothing i've ever used before! and I've tried A LOT of things. If i go without using this product for longer than two weeks I can feel my face beginning to produce more oil again. For those of you who have oily skin I know you understand when I say that having make up on oily skin after a long sometimes makeyou feel like your skin is suffocating, but after using this stuff on a regular basis I feel like my skin can breath!!

After two weeks of using the mask I figured I could stop using it every other day and I started using it once a week or when I felt like it was time to clear my skin.

I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE this stuff. I cannot tell people enough how much this product has saved my skin!!! People comment on how much my skin has cleared and I always attribute it to this product. They have a customer for life! Although it's a bit on the pricey side, I say it's worth it.

This product gets a 10 out of 10 in my book.
