Gomedh (Hessonite) - Meaning and Benefits

The Gemstone of Rahu is Hessonite. This stone is also referred to as Gomedh, Gomedhak, Raju ratna and Ping Spatik. All the ill effects of Rahu in Horoscope can be remedied by wearing Gomed. The name 'Gomedh' is a sanskrit word which means 'of the color of the cow urine'. Wearing Gomed gives one mental peace and freedom from worries. It is also said to avoid problems due to snakes and false allegations.

Gomed is a costly gemstone.The ill effect of Rahu like mental conflicts, anger and obstacles in work, troubles from enemies, and disputes in the court gets sorted out if the stone is worn. Gomed is normally not worn on the basis of any Zodiac sign. Gomedh is highly recommended for those involved in active politics or those having Rahu in their tenth house in the natal chart. Those who are undergoing the mahdasa of Rahu can wear Gomedh too .Gomed is also good for those suffering from allergies, skin disorder, piles, epilepsy, infection of eyes, cold, sinus infection, fatigue, insomnia, BP etc. It is said that no enemy could face the wearer of Gomed gemstone.

Gomed is obtained by mining. In India Gomedh is available in Kashmir, Shimla, Kulu,Bihar, Orissa and Mysore. It is also available in Srilanka, Burma and Thailand. The color of Gomedh is that of Cow's Urine. The Best Gomedh is the Cyloni Gomedh and those from the Mines of Orissa.

How to wear Gomed Stone?

Gomedh is a stone which gives fast effects. It is advisable to wear a minimum of 5 carets of Gomedh when worn as astrological remedy. Gomed should be worn in the form of a silver ring on the middle finger on a Saturday after washing it with unboiled milk and gangajal after reciting the rahu mantras. The mantra for Rahu is "Aum ram ravahe namah". This should be repeated 18 times at the time of wearing the Gomedh.

The maximum effects of wearing Gomedh are derived up to 3 years from the date of wearing it. However, avoid wearing Ruby, Pearl or its substitutes along with Hessonite gemstone.

    I was advised by a numerologist to wear Gomed and Ruby. I am wearing a gomed since the past 2 years and now I plan to buy a ruby.I have read in the internet that one shouldn't wear gomed with Ruby. Please suggest. I am born in the month of October.

    Becareful while wearing gomed stone ,

    taking care some masure ,

    1) wear gomed only 4 or 5 ratti not more than 5

    2)don't use one gomed stone more than 3 year

    3)white spot on gomeda OR shinenessless OR Extra red harmful for to you ,your children and wife

    some good measure

    1)Gomed decrease the Bad effect of rahu

    2) no enemy stand in front of you

    3) its give wealth and money
