Richard Hale is a tattoo enthusiast who studies and researches tattoo symbolism, meanings, and history.

There are a variety of different tattoos that are popular among men. With so many tattoos available, one can find it difficult to choose only one design or style. This is why it is a great idea to read tattoo articles because you can gain good knowledge and great ideas for your own tattoo. Since they are literally thousands of tattoos to choose from, we will now discuss some of the more popular styles and tattoos that men choose. One of the most announced tattoos that men often choose is tribal tattoos. Tribal tattoos are done in tribal art, usually in solid black ink. Tribal tattooing dates backs thousands of years ago. Both the men and women of the tribe would get tattooed. These tribal tattoos would represent certain accomplishments and ranks within the tribe.

Tribal tattoos have no set pattern or shape. They can be designed in every way possible, as well as done in colors other then black. The tribal art style can also be applied to animal tattoos, such as the tribal dragon, tribal wolf, or tribal lion. Tribal tattoos are usually wore on the arms, chest, neck, shoulders, and back. Traditionally speaking, many tribal tattoos were often wore on the face.

Animal tattoos are also a popular tattoo choice for men. The great thing about animal tattoos is the fact that they take on the meaning of the animal being presented. For example, the bear tattoo can represent strength, power, and fearless. The wolf tattoo can represent family, endurance, and power. The wolf tattoo can also represent independence, hence the "lone wolf" expression. The most popular animal tattoos that men often go with is the lion, bear, wolf, tiger, and dragon.

Another popular tattoo for men is the crown tattoo. The crown has been a longtime symbol of power, wealth, and royalty. The same can be said about the crown tattoo as it represents the same meanings. Crown tattoos can be decorated in a variety of different ways, decorated in gold, silver, diamonds, and a variety of jewels. Some crown tattoo designs are often designed with the lion. This crown or lion tattoo design symbolizes power, strength, and loyalty. Since there are a number of animals that can be used for a man tattoo, the options are endless. Make sure that you take the time and find the animal that has the most meaning in your life. If your going to a tattoo shop, make sure that you take the time to view their tattoo book. This is a great time to see their work and see what tattoos are available.

Many men look for a tattoo that defines them, a tattoo that tells their story, history, or passion. There are a number of different tattoos that can be classified under this section. If your the type that is fearless and likes to raise a little, a skull tattoo may just be right down your alley. Skull tattoos can be done in many different ways, often combines with flame and fire tattoos. Do you remember seeing the movie Ghostrider? The character has become a popular skull tattoo. When done correctly, it looks amazing! In fact, many skull tattoos are designed with flames and fire. Some may choose to go with the natural colors of flames, such as red, orange, and yellow. Others may choose to go with more exotic colors which make for an interesting tattoo. Such colors may be blue, green, purple, pink, or silver.

Skull tattoos also hold a high level of symbolic importance to the many that choose this tattoo symbol. Most people believe that the skull symbolizes death and they are right. The skull has been a longtime symbol of death, darkness, and evil. The skull represents the fearless and the underworld. However, the skull and skull tattoo can represent so much more. The skull tattoo can also symbolize life. The skull tattoo represents the fragility of life and it can also represent a near death experience. Some of you may have had a near death experience. For those of you that have, the skull tattoo is a symbol of that and more then likely, it is also a symbol of your new outlook on life.

Flame and fire tattoos are also very popular among men. One of the great things about fire and flame tattoos is the fact that they can be combined with a variety of tattoo symbols. You will see fire and flames with car tattoos, motorcycle tattoos, barbed wire tattoos, cross tattoos, heart tattoos, clover tattoos, and a host of others. Fire and flames are great additions to many tattoo symbols.

Car tattoos, truck tattoos, motorcycle tattoos, tool tattoos, and a host of engine tattoos are also favored by men. There are a number of reasons why some men choose to go this route with their tattoo. You may have a favorite hot rod that you want inked or it may be a hot rod from your past. The same can be said for truck and motorcycle tattoos. Harley Davidson tattoos are the most popular motorcycle tattoo by far. You may want the a certain Harley tattooed or you may just like to get the brand tattooed. Some may want to get the Harley Davidson eagle inked. Remember, there are many different variations to these tattoo categories. For example, you may want to get a 67 Mustang inked or it may be that iconic Mustang symbol. Don't be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to depicting what you like and want. This goes for anyone looking for a tattoo and tattoo artist. Personally, I want a tattoo that is original and one that no one else has.

With so many options, tattoos, and styles, it can be hard to find that perfect tattoo. Just like you, many men look at tattoos and read tattoo articles in hopes of finding that right tattoo. If you have searched and searched without success, ask yourself the following questions.

  • What gives you joy in your life?
  • What or who holds symbolic importance in your life?
  • Who have you recently lost in your life?
  • What or who gives you peace of mind?
  • Do you have a wife, partner, or children?
  • What place in the world means the most in your life?
  • What symbol holds symbolic importance in your life?
  • Are there numbers that give value to your life?
  • Where are you spiritually?
  • What gives meaning to your life?
  • Where are you born?
  • What does your name mean to you?
  • Do your origins matter in your life?

You can apply one or all of these questions in your search for the right tattoo. Of course, this exercise may not be for you or you may find no value in it. That is your choice. However, I believe this can help many find the perfect tattoo. Many of us look for a tattoo that holds symbolic importance in our life. Many of us are looking for meaning within our tattoo.

There are some very important things to remember before you choose to get your tattoo. Make sure that you take the time to research your tattoo. You want to make sure that you fully understand what your tattoo represents. You don't want to get inked and find out later that your tattoo represents something different from what you first thought.

Don't rush to get inked! Just as women, men typically choose to get inked without prior thought. You don't want to make this same mistake. You want to take the time to think out your tattoo and research your tattoo. Remember, you are planning to wear this tattoo for the rest of your life. Make sure that it is the one that you want.

There are thosuands of tattoos for your to choose from. Just make sure that you take the time to look through them and find the one that you want.

Your tattoo galleries are amazing but why do you not have adsense on your pages as you would be making a good income, just curious?

The skull tattoos are a bit too brutal for my taste. I do like the tribal tattoos because they're abstract. I've never seen them in any color other than black, though. Voting this Up and Beautiful.

I think the Lion is amazing, even though I don't believe I have seen one on a person yet. I like your list of questions, everyone should ask these before getting a tattoo. Blessings!
