Guide & Rituals of Wearing a Blue Sapphire-Astrological Gemstone of Saturn

Updated on June 12, 2012

Blue Sapphire gemstone represents the planet Saturn according the Vedic Astrology or more popurlalry known as Jyotisha. The gemstone is available in nature in various shades of blue , each solving a different purpose. Gemstones are very powerful and potent in giving results as they are resonating on the same fundamental frequency as the planet they represent , thus signifying the same cosmic radiation and power.

The power embedded within the crystal structure of gemstone is actiavted by its interaction with light and since light itself is energy , the gemstone itself is also pure energy.Whenever we use these gemstones on our physical body , the energy from the gemstones starts affecting our aura and thus ultimately affect the chakra in the metaphysical body , thus changing our basic energy pattern and altering the frequency.

However , for all this to happen , the gemstone must be first properly cleaned and energized with the proper rituals and only then will good effects start to follow. Blue Sapphire Gemstone corresponds to the Heart Chakra in the body and its bija or seed syllable is "Vam".Blue Sapphire gemstone must be embedded in silver or iron metal for it is only these metals that will accurately and effectively transmit the cosmic power of the gemstone.

After the gemstone is embedded , the ring must be placed in saltwater for a period of 24 hours , since salt is a very potent agent and is highly effective in cleaning the gemstone of impurities and restoring it to its natural cosmic frequency. Once the ring has been cleansed , it must be worshipped with the following mantra for a minimum of 108 times.

Neelanjana Samabhasam , Raviputram Yamagrajam

Chayamartanda Sambhutam, Tam Namami Shanaishcharam

Lamp . incense , blue flowers and seasame seeds must be offererd to the ring. Blue sapphire gemstone should be worn facing west , within 1 hour of sunrise on Saturday , preferably within Shukla Paksha or the ascending cycle of the Moon.
