Guess what the most searched hairstyle is. Hair extensions! Hair extensions are hot, and the hottest hair extensions are the clip hair extensions. You can go from short or medium hair to long flowing hair in minutes. Clip hair extensions can be washed, dried and styled just like your real hair.

Hair extensions have become very popular in the last 10 years with many celebrities parading the red carpet with short or medium hair style one day and long voluminous hair the next. Beyonce (picture above), Rihanna, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Lopez are just a few famous women who have worn hair extensions.

The bonding methods of hair extensions are now passé. Aside from the cost, the bonding methods are not for everyone. Do you really want to put your lovely hair through bonding methods such as braiding, weaving, sewing and fusion, in which the hair comes coated at the tips with a substance that, when heated, bonds with your own hair? Clip hair extension is the answer.

Clip hair extensions come in synthetic as well as human hair. Synthetic hair extensions are man-made fibers, especially designed to create hair extensions and hairpiece hairstyles. Human hair extensions are, of course, human hair.

Cost wise, the synthetic hair extensions are much cheaper than human hair extensions. If you are going to use your hair extensions only on special occasions, you might opt for the less expensive synthetic ones, which cost about $50 for a two-piece set. However, if you want to invest in better quality hair extensions that you can wash and style just like your own hair, you might go for human hair extensions, which cost about $200.

Here's a video on how to put in clip hair extensions.

This is a great example of human hair extensions. See the model's short hair before adding the hair extensions? Instant flowing layered long hair. These hair extensions are POP Two-Piece Human Hair Clip Hair Extensions. They come in two multi-level pieces. This is a very easy way to add length and volume to your hair without the hassle of working with several individual pieces. Use one piece to make your hair longer. Use two pieces together if you want even longer hair adding the smaller bi-level piece at the nape.

The set includes 2 "duck-bill" hair clips for use in attaching extensions. These hair extensions have been specially processed so that they can be colored and/or permed and cut to match your needs.

This is a lovely example of synthetic clip hair extensions. Notice the young model's short hair before adding the hair extensions. And now look at the sassy straight long layered hair style with the synthetic hair extensions and flirty bouncy curly hair style with softly waved hair extensions. What a difference! The synthetic hair extensions just blended in with her own hair and you can't tell the difference.

This 10-piece synthetic hair extensions set are available in straight or softly waved sets. The straight hair is 16" and the softly waved hair is 18", and both textures are available in 20 multi-tonal shades that have been created to blend with just about any hair color. Both the straight and wavy sets consist of 10 pieces in varying weft widths.

Clip hair extensions come in the different lengths, colors and styles to compliment your natural hair.

I love articles on hair extensions that clear up any misconceptions about extensions, so thanks for being clear and concise. I recently started wearing lace wigs (as I was previously a sew-in girl)and love the convieneice of them and cost-effectiveness. I would like to try clip ins as well...but would need to find hair for my particular AA hair texture :-)
