Home Remedies For Damaged Hair

Updated on March 8, 2013

Easy Ways To Repair Damaged Hair

Healthy hair is beautiful hair! Don't let dry, brittle, frizzy hair ruin your look. There are many easy ways to repair damaged hair.

Some home remedies for damaged hair include making a natural hair mask to add moisture hair, exercising more often to increase circulation, and making yourself take a 30 Day Styling Tools Time-Out.

Hair Masks For Damaged Hair

Create a hair mask easily at home using all natural products! Some items you can use include:

  • Eggs
  • Olive oil
  • Avocados
  • Honey
  • Mayo

All of these items have the benefit of containing vitamins. They also help hair feel thicker and softer after just one use!

Try making a hair mask by mixing two eggs and two tablespoons of olive oil. Apply to hair and leave on for about thirty minutes before washing out. You can also try mixing a few avocados with a couple of tablespoons of mayo for a hair mask that is enriched with conditioning fatty acids. Any of these items can usually be found in local grocery stores. Try several combinations and find out which works best for you!

Exercise For Healthy Body And Hair

Everyone knows that regular exercise does a body good, but did you know it can also help your hair look much healthier?

Exercise increases circulation. This in turn moves various vitamins throughout your body, improving the condition and appearance of skin and hair. Regular exercise can help hair grow out much healthier. Of course, eating healthy foods and taking a vitamin supplement can also help repair damaged hair.

Take A Time-Out

Blow drying, curling, straightening...all of this styling can burn, stretch, and dry out hair leaving it damaged and broken.

Challenge yourself to a 30 Day Styling Tools Time-Out and avoid all hot styling tools for a month! Letting hair air dry and hold it's natural style will allow hair to recover from all of the heat damage and will protect new hair growth from becoming damaged.

Use one of the previously mentioned conditioning hair masks once a week and after the 30 Day Styling Tools Time-Out, damaged hair will appear much healthier and feel much softer!

Can You Give It Up?

Would you be willing to give up your blow dryer, curling iron, or flat iron?

I LOVE THIS! I have fine hair that and it’s always limp and full of static… I wish I would’ve seen this first because I think I tried 1,000 things before I finally found something that worked for me. If you’re interested in trying out what worked for me you can get the instructions here: and tell me what you think! xoxo, WearToStandOut
