Home made beauty products
These days there are so many beauty products out there, and they can get really expensive. Recently I found out that it can be easy to make some of these products right at home. I put together a few recipes for you to try, they work just as well as the expensive stuff. Try making the fruity lip for a gift or have a slumber party for your young teen and let them make there own. I've also included a link for information on how to make your own perfume.
Try making Bath salts for a gift basket or for your self.
You will need...
1 cup of Epsom salts (
Food coloring
Essential oil (found at health food stores, drugs stores or craft stores )
Lg. spoon
Glass or ceramic bowl (don't use plastic, it will absorb scent)
Eye dropper
Pour salt and few drops of color into bowl; mix well could take several minutes. Use dropper to add a few drops of your scented oil, mix well. Place in a jar or air tight container, keeps for months. Try dressing up a jar to give as a gift...
Lip gloss...This is a great solution for a lip gloss junky.
Honey Balm Lip Gloss
You will need...
2 Tsp Honey
3 oz Almond Oil
1.2 oz beeswax
1 Vitamin E capsule
1-4 drops of essential oil
Mix all ingredients together, you may need to warm in the microwave for up to 30 seconds to make it easier to mix. Put in a air tight container or jar into fridge till hard and then use or give as a gift.
Fruity Lip Gloss
You will need...
2 Tbsp solid shortening
1 tbsp fruit flavoured kool-aid
35 mm plastic film container
microwavable bowl
Mix shortening and kool aid in a small microwavable bowl until smooth. Put in microwave for 30 seconds until becomes liquid put into film container or any other small airtight container. Cool in fridge until firm...is good for months.
