Updated on October 22, 2018

Spicing Up Your Look

Sometimes it is hard to find the perfect thing to spice up our makeup look. I have found one of the best things to add to your makeup bag is false eyelashes but for beginners they can look very scary! In this article I am going to be breaking down how to apply your favorite false lashes. Falsies are one of the simplest ways to make your eyes absolutely pop!

What You Will Need

You will need eyelashes that you like, eyelash adhesive, a clean pain of sharp succors, a clean pair of tweezers, and your favorite mascara. I have linked some of my personal favorites of all these products for you to try if you wish!

Careful!

Sizing Your Lash Line

After you have bought all the things you need the first thing you will need to do is size the eyelash strip to properly fit your eye size. First take your pair of tweezers and carefully pull the lash strip off the container. The second thing you need to do is WITHOUT applying you adhesive take the lash strip and place the first one carefully on top of your natural lashes to see how much you need to cut off. Now carefully take the lashes and cut a little off of the far corner. Continue to do this until it fits comfortably on your eye and looks the right size. Remember you can always cut off more if you need to but you can't add more to the lash line.

Do's and don'ts!

Make It Look Natural!

Now that you have sized your false eyelashes to fit your natural eye size we are going to apply mascara to your natural eyelashes then start gluing you false lashes on! You begin by taking your adhesive and carefully applying a small line of it on the base of your lash strip. Now to apply them there are different ways depending on what you are comfortable with. You can take those same tweezers from earlier or just use your hands. Once your adhesive it tacky carefully place your false eyelash one top of your natural eyelash line. Once you get that on carefully press your falsies into place to make them look like your natural lashes.

Careful Now!

Finishing Up Your Look!

Once you are done gluing on your false lashes you need to carefully make sure that they are completely dry. When they are dry you can go in with a little more mascara to give your lashes a little extra pop!

Beautiful Falsies

Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Boudoir
Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Boudoir

These beautiful lashes are my personal favorite. These are a little thicker pair of lashes so they don't fall apart like a lot of other thinner and cheaper lashes can. They are rather easy to apply just make sure you bend them to more of the shape of your eye. These gorgeous lashes a sold for $8.56 considering Kiss is a big name brand in lashes this price is amazing if you use this amazon link!

Best Adhesive

I personally love this adhesive. I have been using this brand of adhesive since I began using false eyelashes. This adhesive dries clear which I love because if I make a mistake you cant even see it! This adhesive is sold for $3.59 if you use this amazon link compared to the same kind of adhesive sold for around $10 at Sephora.
