How to have Healthy,Gorgeous Skin

Updated on November 23, 2016

Having healthy skin is not only good for your skin, but for your body as well. I have struggled for years with acne and oily skin, if i was outside for more than 10 minutes my face looked like an oil slick. Healthy skin can be so rewarding but it can also be a huge challenge. I am going to share with you guys some things that I have done to get my skin healthier looking and feeling.

  • Healthy Diet: People have been saying this for years and I always thought that it was dumb. But I hate to admit that it does play a role, with that said it didn't play a huge role for me. It did help with my random breakouts a little bit. But, I did still get them and my face was still oily.
  • Washing my face the correct way: I used to be one of those people who thought my face was clean if a little shampoo runs from my hair to my skin. But that is not true, I wash my face once a day (two if I'm really good) with a face washing brush. Its amazing the difference it makes.
  • Natural Face Wash: I am kind of a skeptic when it comes to natural or organic things. But in the case of face wash it makes all the difference in the world. I have been to the dermatologist and have gotten the $400 prescription face washes and lotions. I have used almost every kind of face wash at the drug store. But in the end the face wash that I found worked for me were 3 companies: Yes to Brand, Avalon Organics and Kiss my face brand. I would recommend giving these a try before spending all that money to see a dermatologist. They also make amazing shampoos and moisturizers.

With all of this said I do still get oily skin at times, but I think that is normal with the skin I have. I don't think that anyone can completely get rid of oil, I just use a mattifying powder and call it a day.

Finding what works for your skin can be a huge trial and error or it can be the first thing you buy, if your lucky. I hope that this will help you to find what works for you so you can have healthy, glowing skin and the confidence to go with it.
