Invicta Slim Swiss Quartz Watches Review

Updated on January 10, 2015

Invicta Slim: Fashion, Casual, Formal

Invicta Slim offers classically designed rectangular and round quartz watches that balance understated trendiness with minimalistic fashion. Accordingly, Slim timepieces can serve as casual, evening formal, and even fashion accessories; it's a broad collection, comprising several lines for men and women, and offering a real alternative to the unabashed expressivity of nearly all other Invicta watches.

All Slim watches rely on Swiss quartz calibers, a feature allowing to considerably reduce the depth of the products. There are several common characteristics that reappear in nearly all models: clean dial designs (almost entirely empty, only the indexes, occasional numerals, and the brand&collection logos decorating the face), basic leather straps or mesh stainless steel bracelets, and mostly black and white color scheme.

  • City Slim Square (Lady) is the standard square (slightly curved sides) model equipped with the mesh steel bracelet. Men's watches specifications: 39 mm in width, 5.8 mm in depth, Ladies' versions are just as thin, but smaller by 9 milimeters. White indexes and hands stand out on the black dials, gray offsets the white dial variations. No complications, not even a seconds hand – minimalism all the way.

  • Metro Slim Square (Lady) essentially replicates the City Slim line, opting for leather straps instead of the bracelets, and offering more color, including cherry brown and dark blue.

  • City Slim Round (Lady) is even thinner – 5.2 mm in depth. Classic round case with short lugs (appearing shorter in black ionic plating), is basically the round counterpart of the square line.

  • Metro Slim Round (Lady): another twin collection with more color options and straps instead of the bracelets. Mineral crystal for the cover and luminous Tritnite for the hands.

  • City Slim Round deviates from the minimalistic aesthetic by inserting an inner ring of color inside the dial, and complimenting it with Art Deco Roman numerals. 40 mm in diameter, these are the biggest pieces in the collection. Longer lugs protrude from the cases, adding a touch of finesse.

  • Metro Slim Round takes an even bolder approach, incorporating, besides the neutral black and white, a bright Dr. Pepper red and a deep blue (for the inner ring). This line achieves a somewhat futuristic look, by giving minimalism a slight twist.
