Invicta men's pro diver collection automatic watch 8926

Updated on March 26, 2012

The Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Watch 8926 is a 21-jewel watch with Miyota Japanese automatic movement. Being an Invicta automatic, it functions without a battery and is powered with the movement of your hand.  The Invicta 8926 has a solid stainless steel case with a bracelet that has a polished center link that gives this watch a more chic appearance.  There have been reviews that the bezel scratches easily, though. Another version is the Invicta 8926C that features a coin edge stainless steel case. The watch is 43mm with a black dial very much similar to many of the watches in the Invicta Pro Diver Watch such as the Invicta 9937 Pro Diver, Invicta 5017 Pro Diver and the Invicta 4469 Swiss Pro Diver.  A black dial on any watch adds to its sophisticated luxurious look.  The watch has Tritnite luminous markers and hands so they are easy to read when there is no light or when the light is low.  It also includes the convenience of a date function.  Invicta 8926 is water resistant up to 200 meters or 660 feet which assures you that the water will not enter the watch even when you go scuba diving wearing it.

The Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Watch 8926 closely resembles the Invicta 5017 being an Invicta automatic with unidirectional turning bezel, Tritnite luminous, black dial, solid stainless steel and 660 feet water resistance but the main difference is that the 5017 has Swiss movement.  The Invicta 9937 on the other hand differs from the 8926 on its 25 jewels, 42mm diameter and its Swiss movement.  The same features are in the Invicta 4469 which has a water resistance depth of 1000 feet and has a Swiss movement too.

The Invicta 8926 looks like it was inspired by the Rolex Submariner watch that is an amazingly expensive watch.  The difference is that the Invicta has some sporty touches that make it a little different from the Rolex.  The finish is done quite well but the unidirectional bezel seems to be stiffer than it should be and requires a little more effort to twist.  The flame fusion crystal of the watch is susceptible to scratches and not as scratch resistant as the sapphire glass or sapphire coated which is being used by the ocean blue-dial Invicta 5364 Men’s Pro Diver Collection Chronograph that has a sapphire coated mineral crystal.

At a price of $70 to $80 for a brand new Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Watch 8926, it is a pretty good buy.  It has features and quality that are comparable to the pricier brands but none of the high price.  The Japanese movement is quite good and reliable, considering the cheap price it has. These watches are made and guaranteed by the Swiss company Invicta that was begun in 1837 with the radical intention of selling Swiss made watches at moderate prices.  They have succeeded in doing so.

Overall, the Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Watch 8926 is a watch that is a good combination of being a reliable chic diving watch and an every day watch. Other than that, it would look fashionable whether it is worn with a business suit or casual shirt and jeans.
