JAMES BOND GIFTS

Updated on October 19, 2011

Holiday Present Perhaps?

I'm not going to bore you with all of the extra tidbits about each and every James Bond film. I have to say that since Daniel Craig joined the franchise, I have never been the same. The only other James Bond I ever liked was Sean Connery because he was a real man and boy did he have style!

The point is that the reason you are here reading this article is there is something about James Bond that you like. Whether it is his gorgeous and confident smile or the clothes that fit nicely in all of the right places. Since Mr. Daniel Craig took the role of 007, I seem to watch him on screen like a tiger waiting to pounce her prey. I like the fact that he is tough, not too pretty and very cool and debonaire. Some of the suits he wears are like an art piece. Who would have thought that a dark satin blue tie would look that hot?

I happened to be married to a Brit that oddly seems to resemble actors like Craig and Ewan McGregor. Actors that come across as real men and do not sweat the small stuff, but also look awesome in a suit. I like men that do not seem to mind getting their hands dirty and some of the other actors in the older Bond franchise were too way too "girlie" for me.

So, this is why I'm writing this article for women that think like me or for men that love James Bonds style. My husband often says that he wants certain things from the movie and he loves some of the clothes. Since there are quite a few men that may want some of the gadgets and accessories, I thought I would feature them here. I plan on getting my other half a James Bond Omega watch for his birthday this year.

      IV! Shall we have a 007 marathon! All day with hot cocoa! You and me rating all these hotties in every different category! ha

      Sean Connery will always be "one of a kind." I'm actually glad George Clooney is around......sort of has that same debonaire thing going......Otherwise, what will we be left with? Craig has a bit of that sexy "psycho" element that I love! ha ha ha

      I agree with you about Pierce, G. You've met and spoke with him, I have yet to meet up with him while in the Islands. Sean Connery raised the bar so high, tis hard for any man to top. Craig comes close in sex appeal. Love his eyes! Sean is still sexy at his age. Yum!

      Hey IV...I think the problem I have with Pierce is he comes across a little too "polished" and that is a "turn off" for me ; I have spoken to him once before and he just does not have the "ummph" factor. He is handsome but not sexy in person....maybe it is just me....ha

      I do not think he did feel comfortable in the role because he is not "tough enough." He is a bit too refined......I have liked him in other roles...g

      My gf and i watched Quantum, and oohed and aaahed at Craig, I agree with you, he is hot, and look forward to him playing James Bond again, and again. Ahhh, the manliness! I think Pierce was not comfortable playing Bond, what do you think? He is best in drama.

      Hey there IV! I have met Mr. Brosnon in Malibu ; His kids go to my god sons school....He is cute BUT....ha Well you know where I stand! There is something about Craig that is very "different." I like "very different." I can't wait for the next one! LOVE the gizmos 2!!! Always nice to see you here! G

      I so love James Bonds, Sean and Daniel, can i have both? I know Pierce Brosnan is too pretty, but like him too. Besides he's an awesome artist (yes, he paints), and keeps a home in Hawaii. I do wish they keep making James Bond movies. Love the action and gizmos!

      Hey JAMES! I guess I was not into the franchise back in the day when Mr. Connery was in his "prime." THEN the other one's sort of "turned me off" especially Dalton....so I lost my interest in the franchise.......When my hubby was working on the new franchise, I got to watch all of the "out takes" too! I know that Mr. Craig may not be as "debonaire" as you were in those days, ; ha BUT he is really very cool and very "tough".......It may be an "age" thing for me since I'm in my early 40's? Maybe since Connery was at his prime so long ago, I just sort of missed that time? I like how cool and modern Daniel Craig is.....and the way he moves.....so smooth ;

      I also like how the character has evolved in the newer movies.... Well I can understand how people feel about Mr. Connery....he is fantastic! Best, G

      As you might have ascertained from my email address, the Bond series was written about me in my former life. Thank you for the writeup. Connery was the only one who came close to representing me as I was in those days.

      James....thank you for your positive words about Mr. Craig. I like the words... most "lethal (and human).....always nice to see you here....I hope all is well with your travels....do you think you will ever make a home in any of these places you are visiting? Are you writing your award winning novel yet? Night, G

      It seems that we all agree that Sean Connery was the epitemy of "Bond"..... no body has ever said it better "Bond, James Bond". But I also agree that Daniel Craig is very good, certainly a man's man so to speak, and definitely the most lethal (and human) of all the Bonds. Great piece, G, and a wonderful selection of gifts.

      Good luck with the recording work.... Best, JM

      Very cute HappyHer! Ok, judging from the comments here, Mr. Connery can not be replaced! He is fabolous!!!!!! ;

      BUT, I think I would have been a bit annoyed if they tried to get someone "just like him." I think it was best to get someone "completely different for the franchise....."

      ANYWAY, as long as 007 is sexy, cool and manly....I'm in! ha G

      I agree with Habee, I'll take one Sean Connery, but I don't think my husband would appreciate that for a gift, so I guess I'll have to look through wonderful suggestions you made....

      I guess I'm the old 007 fan and as far as I'm concerned Sean Connery was the only just right. I always said that they should have made the next ones 008, 009 etc...

      great hub

      regards Zsuzsy
