Jezzy Fashion

Out-Dress Mrs. Jezzy

Once upon a time, there lived in a city called VOGUE a Mrs. Jezzy. She was the inspiration behind every designer’s clothing in VOGUE. She was trendy to look at and always dressed to kill. Her husband died of the overdose of her extravagance but she never lacked men as many were at her beck and call if only to taste of her sensuality.

Mrs. Jezzy with her style, made it impossible for men to differentiate parts of the women’s body as public or private as she stylishly exposed her private body parts for public appreciation. She became fashion role model for stars especially those in the movie and music industries. Initially, mothers were suspicious of the influence of her style on their daughters but later she became a major influence not just on dress sense of daughters but sons and mothers are all engulfed in the Jezzy craze, I mean fashion.

I love fashion and style and I believe there are many believers out there who do. Are you one of us? Not to worry, you do not need to be extreme to become a personality of style. All you need is to look trendy in your clothes and feel good in them too. Until you dress like royalty, you are limited in style or do you disagree?

Study the priestly garment of Aaron and even the Levites of the Bible days and you would conclude that there is no better fashion designer than God and neither can there ever be any man that understands style and creativity like Him. God is the first and the best designer of all ages. He started by clothing Adam and Eve after their fall. He distinguished Aaron and his sons, elevated the priesthood and He paid attention to every detail of their garment design, material, colours, sewing and ornamental adornment to make a statement about the beauty of Holiness.

Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. (Job 10:11 KJV)

But have you ever wondered why God brought us to this world naked if He loved fashion and style as mentioned earlier? I did and I realized that the body was actually meant to be all the clothing; we needed only the “body” fashion to cover our spirit and soul. Man is spirit, living in a body and having a soul. Man’s duty of care and attention ought to be the spirit man; Adam and Eve were deceived to look to the body by the lust of the eyes and pride of life and man fell.

Sin shifted the attention of man from the inward spirit to the outward body and “they knew that they were naked…” (Gen3:7). Man began to see and evaluate things from the outward (body) appearance unlike God who is Spirit and evaluates things from the inward (spirit) parts. He fashioned us after His likeness but sin corrupted our vision and He came in to cover us with body accessory called clothing-fashion.

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. (Gen.3:21)

Can you imagine what life would have been like if God had left man to live beholding his nakedness (sin) every day of his sojourn here on earth? I believe that in covering the sin exposed body, God wanted to ensure that in spite of the activities of Satan, His plan for mankind was still on course. He introduced remission of sin and forgiveness by shedding animal blood and covering their nakedness not with leaves but with durable and stylish leather fashion.

Please take some time out to understand your body; what stuff it is made of and being clothed for. In this part of the world where ritual killers are on the increase because of the love of money, some bodies are for sacrifices to idols while some are butchered as we will see later in this book for sale to the highest bidders. However, some bodies were taken before ritual shrines and were rejected because they were sacred; they had God as their clothier. What about you?

Whose body is yours? Do you have understanding of that mark, drawing or stain on your body? Do you understand the implication of wearing dirty spiritual clothes? You may need a change of style after you journey with me through this book. You will indeed encounter the truth and resolve to out dress Mrs. Jezzy!

Warmly,
