Why We Need Face Cleansers?

Almost everyone of us go out in the sun, facing not just sun, harsh winds but environmental pollution too. All this tends to have a very harmful effect on our skin making it look lifeless.

Cleansers work effectively in giving your skin a fresh life, it helps to remove impurities from the skin and thus your face looks glowing and refreshing.

Using soap on your skin could wipe away the natural oils from the skin leaving it all the more dry and rough. So instead of soap it is best to use natural cleansers which help to retain essential oils.

They help to renew your skin, improves blood circulation too.

How to make Natural Face Cleansers

It is quite easy to make natural face cleansers at your home only using natural products which are available in your kitchen shelf.

Not only are they easily available but being natural they tend to give your skin a more soothing and glowing complexion too.

Before you start to make a natural face cleanser it is more important to know your skin type- whether you have sensitive, oily or dry skin or just a combination skin.

Those with oily skin will need facial cleansers which have an acid base. People with sensitive skin should use cleansers which are rich in emollients and also have healing properties to heal the skin.

Next thing to consider is to know what you actually want from your cleanser- whether you want to use it as moisturize, astringent or exfoliation. Once you have decided it is time to make your natural face cleanser.

Natural Face Cleanser for Oily Skin

For Oily skin it is best to use cleansers which contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) which are quite effective in removing the dead layers of the skin.

A number of natural ingredients contain AHA’s like milk, vinegar, apple juice, lemon juice. Tomatoes, potatoes, oranges also contain AHA’s.

These are some of the best natural face cleansers for oily skin.

Olive oil: Olive oil is one of the best cleansers for oily skin types. You just need a few drops of olive oil and apply it on your face.

Gently massage the face and then wash off with lukewarm water. You can also remove the oil using a warm wet towel. This gives a radiant glow to your face.

Milk and Orange Peel: Both of these are wonderful natural face cleansers. I have personally used these a number of time and believe me, it really adds a glow to your face and make it look soft too.

All you need to do is to take 2 tbsp of milk in a bowl and add some orange peel powder to it. Mix both of these well. Now with the help of a cotton ball apply it on your face and neck. Massage with soft hands. Wash off with lukewarm water.

Honey and Lemon: If you have very oily skin then you need to apply a mix of both honey and lemon on your face as a cleanser.

Honey is one of the best when it comes to cleansing your skin. It not just moisturizes your skin but also makes it radiant.

However if you have oily skin then it is best if you add a few drops of lemon juice to honey and then wash off your face.

Natural Face Cleanser for Dry or Sensitive Skin

For dry skin there are some of the natural cleansers like milk, aloe vera, cream and honey which not just moisturize your skin but also heal it.

For dry skin use honey, yoghurt and a mix of egg yolk and almond powder as a facial cleanser

Natural Face Cleanser for Combination Skin

Oatmeal is an effective cleanser for those with combination skin. Just mix oatmeal and water to form a fine paste and apply on your face for around 15 minutes then rinse with warm water.

This will leave your skin not just moisturized but also soft and smooth. Instead of water you can even use yoghurt.

Home Made Facial Cleansers

The best thing with homemade facial cleansers is that you can apply them either alone or in combination with one or two ingredients to get a better and more effective result.

Milk and Honey Cleanser

This is one of the most favorite natural cleansers which can be used by almost all skin types. What you need is 1 tbsp of organic honey and 1 tbsp of whole milk.

Mix the two and apply on your skin either with your fingertips or using a cotton ball. Apply it on your face and neck. You may wash after 10 minutes.

Rose water: Girls swear by the use of rose water on their skin. I have heard a lot of girls saying that they use rose water regularly. It brings a radiant glow as well as prevents skin from getting dry or dull.

All you need to do is to get rose water which is easily available in the market and with the help of cotton ball apply on the face and neck. Best time to use is at night before going to bed.

Tomato and Milk Cleanser

This is certainly a very effective cleanser. Just take 1 tomato and take out its juice, 2 tbsp of milk, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of orange juice. Just mix all these ingredients well.

Keep it in refrigerator and whenever you wish to apply, you can apply it on your face and neck. This leaves your skin not just hydrated, cool but also smoothens the texture and leaves it more toned than before.
