LV (Louis Vuitton) Epi Alma Noir (black) bag Review

In addition to the Louis Vuitton Ebene speedy 30, I have another beauty from this brand. A few months ago, I got a new purse from Louis Vuitton store in LA, the classic Epi Alma in Noir (black). The handbag is so gorgeous and sophisticated. Due to its black color and subtle details, it doesn't scream LV. But it is very beautiful in person and on camera. Anyway, this article talks about how I like the Epi Alma, spaces inside and everything else that comes to my mind.

A little history about Alma. This is one of the classics in the house of Louis Vuitton, though it is not nearly as popular and well known as the speedy. It has been around for many years with a few different fabrics. As of now, it comes in the monogram, epi and vernis. It used to come in the multicolor, but that was discontinued. The reason that I picked the black Epi Alma is because I feel like it's subtle and classic. This purse is suitable for my age and someone much older. I will love it for many years and I won't be tired of it for a long time. Furthermore, I just love the simplicity of the design and sophistication that is associated with this handbag.

How does it look? I have a few pictures of it both inside and out. Camera don't do justice for this handbag, she is gorgeous in person. Again it is just a very simple, chic and sophisticated handbag. The black is low maintenance as it won't show that it's dirty. Scratches will not be too visible because of the epi leather. I don't have any scratches yet and I baby this bag way too much. The handles are pretty comfortable as well.

The bag is not very big inside; it will not fit a lot of stuff. I am short and I believe that your bag should be proportional to your body. I saw the bigger Alma in the store, it should really be for a girl over 5 feet 8 inches (or 172cm). The big bag is HUGE. In terms of comparison, my Alma looks like the same size as the Louis Vuitton speedy 30. However, it will not hold nearly as much as a speedy 30. Nevertheless, it is still a good size. Overall, I recommend my Alma only for someone that don't have a ton of stuff in their purse.

This handbag is just so luxurious looking and classic. The inside is a blue suede material that is so nice to the touch. It has two pockets inside that will hold your cell phone and some other smaller stuff. The smaller pocket intended for cell phone will not fit the iphone. The lock goes on one of the zipper and the keys are inside the key pouch. The hardware is silver which looks very nice with the black leather.

Overall, I would recommend the LV epi Alma to someone that loves luxuries handbag that is very subtle and well made. This purse is a dressier purse so you should wear semi formal clothing with it. However, it can be a causal purse if you choose the monogram Alma. Personally, I would use this purse with a nice top, dress pants and heels. With that look, you will be ready to meet your toughest fashion critic and impress him/her!!

Love your Alma! :D Such a class act! Can you make an updated review? In which you would include the following info: how often do you use the bag? Are there any signs of wear? How do you treat your bags, do you baby after your Alma? How is the zipper holding up, any tiny wholes?

Looking forward for you're updated review :) you could make a YouTube video of it XOXO

I would not do anything myself, you should take it to a Louis Vuitton store right away. I don't have that kind of problem with mine. I think there is some kind of treatment on the leather. Let me know how it goes.

Hi there, I got the epi alma mm and I love it!!!!! You are absolute right, however, I just noticed that I have white scratch on the top of the bag, close to the handles. Do you think that is just something I brushed on or it's a scratch ? Any suggestion as to how to clean it? Also, because this is my first epi bag .....I am not sure but do you know whether the leather is painted and once you scratch it it shows white underneath ?

      Thank you
