LeliaSea Dead Sea Body Lotion Review

Updated on August 20, 2015

The Problem with Hand Lotions

I love bath and body products, especially lotions. I keep them all over; one in my purse, one in my car, one on my desk, by my bedside, etc. The problem with most of the lotions I have tried is that they make my hands feel sticky, greasy and/or chalky. I hate that feeling - like i need to wash my hands after I apply lotion. I'm always on the lookout for a high quality lotion that makes my hands feel smooth and has a nice scent. This can be a lot harder than you think!

Size also matters here, I like a lotion that I can carry in my purse or pack easily when I travel without feeling weighed down. I have a toddler, so I need something lightweight because I usually have a diaper bag and purse over one shoulder and a child in my other arm. Because of my daughter, I am always washing my hands a lot which leaves them feeling dry. I like a lotion I can keep applying after I wash and clean up messes around the house.

My Thoughts on LeliaSea Dead Sea Body Lotion

I was very excited to be offered the chance to try the LeliaSea Dead Sea Body Lotion, especially after reading the glowing reviews on Amazon. I was convinced! It came in the mail this week and I couldn't wait to give it a try.

The bottle was a little smaller than I anticipated, but it is the perfect size for my handbag which is important to me. It is 1.7 ounces so they pack a lot in that small bottle. It has a snap closure and there is no chance of the lotion spilling from this squeeze bottle.

At first I put it on my hands, just a small squirt and was pleasantly surprised by how little lotion you actually need to use. Even though I applied only a small amount it was enough for my hands and part of my arms as well. You really only need a drop, it spreads so easily!

After applying I noticed a very slight fresh scent, nothing over powering at all. Even now an hour later I don't smell anything so this is great for people who have a sensitivity to scents. My hands feel very smooth and soft. This is not at all chalky or sticky. It even makes my cuticles look soft and I can tell that with continuous use my hands will look fantastic.

The lotion I received is a body lotion, I think it would feel fantastic after being out in the sun. It has a very refreshing feel and would help hydrate dry skin wonderfully. I think I will keep using mine as a hand lotion but would be excited to try it all over once I order a larger bottle.

Other Benefits

Besides making your hands soft, this lotion is full of vitamins and minerals that are great for your skin. Here are some of the benefits according to the LeliaSea company:

  • Relief for Eczema (knowing this I will have to have my husband try it out as well as he is always looking for products for this issue).
  • Instantly heal dry and cracked skin
  • Reduce damage caused by summer sun and winter dryness
  • The soft floral scent disappears after applying so it won't clash with your perfume!

Final Verdict?

I like this lotion and I would buy it once the bottle I have runs out. I would like a larger bottle for my bathroom to use on my whole body and looking at the size options I see that there are options to get larger bottles. There are also some great price discounts for buying the larger bottle and for buying multiple of the smaller one. I am excited to see how my skin feels after continuous use. I think I found a winner!

The Fine Print

Disclosure: I received this lotion in exchange for my honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Reference ID: pm44ebc4e28c99d8aeaead73b4b70cc5e9
