Updated on April 4, 2010

Lyposuction is the fastest way to eliminate the unwanted fats in the body

  • Lyposuction is the fastest way to eliminate the unwanted fats in the body. Instead of food starvation or staying within a very strict diet plan, some opt for the surgical procedure in order get the perfect shape without having to do many sacrifices. Lyposuction, or lipoplasty, is the surgical removal of fats from different sites of the body. Although it is primarily popular among figure conscious people, the surgery can also save your life from many debilitating diseases. Here are the possible diseases that you can escape if you undergo lyposuction.
  • Coronary Heart Disease

Coronary heart disease is one of the top causes of mortality not only in the United States but in many parts of the world. The disease is primarily due to a poor lifestyle. When a person without exercise takes too much fat in the diet, the fats accumulate in the lining of the blood vessels, causing the thickening of the walls. The narrowed vessels cause an increase in the blood pressure, and later on affect the normal functioning of the heart. Studies show that after the lyposuction cosmetic procedure, there is dramatic decrease in the blood pressure. When the blood pressure is back to normal, there is less stress for the organ and as a result, you get a healthier heart.

  • Type 2 Diabetes

Obesity is the triggering factor for the adult-onset diabetes mellitus, also called type 2 diabetes. With increase obesity, the chance of insulin resistance is higher. Insulin is the hormone responsible for reducing the level of glucose in the body. When the insulin fails, diabetes mellitus can develop. In certain obese individuals, resistance to insulin is very common. One indirect recommendation of physicians to manage the disease is by losing weight. One way to do this is through lyposuction. With reduced amount of fats and normally functioning insulin, you can easily regulate the blood sugar.

  • Stroke

Stroke is another fatal disease that takes the life of many people all around the world. Stroke is also due to the thickened blood vessels brought about by the deposition of fats in the blood vessels. Same with the coronary heart disease, the thickened blood vessels can result to an increase in blood pressure. With the increased pressure, the blood vessels supplying the brain experience much stress. When the walls of the vessels can no longer take up the stress, they rupture and cause aneurysm. Cerebral aneurysm is one of the most common causes of high blood pressure. With cerebral aneurysm, blood clots coming form the ruptured vessels can cause damage in the brain. Most of the time, the damage is irreversible and can lead to death within hours to days of initial onset. Because of the fatal effect of fats and obesity, an indirect method to treat the problem is through lyposuction and lifestyle change.

  • Lyposuction is a common cosmetic surgical procedure for figure conscious individuals. However, even the health conscious especially the obese can benefit from the life-saving procedure. With its health benefits, you will never regret undergoing the surgery.
