Make your own Online T Shirt Shop
Your own T Shirt Shop
Here it is! My official 100th hub, I say official because I did an unofficial one for my 97th..basically because I wanted to make a statement about reaching that far but the count is unimportant and as long as the content keeps flowing that is all that matters to my followers...but I digress.
OK so onto the topic at hand 'Making your own t shirt shop online, this is a recent interest I have begun to explore in terms of money making online. As you may already have seen amongst my previous hubs, I do like to design t-shirts and I am also creative when enjoying drawing and painting as a hobby. Naturally I thought this was a good hub to achieve my hundredth with because it is not something based on keywords or for profit, it includes some of my ideas for a custom t shirt shop which I will proceed to describe as I continue to run through the process of setting your own shop up.

Online Tshirt Shop
Graphic Design for t shirts is not something which you would spend forever creating an illustration to include, you need to conjure up bold and crisp logos that have witty meanings and catch the public's eye. There are resources which offer free clip art images and fonts with a license for commercial reuse, some requesting a donation if you make a profit and others not, one example of such a site is DaFont.com.
Online T shirt store
Some of the best ideas when designing for your t shirt shop come by accident, for example you may be browsing through the clip art section and find an illustration which particularly suits the message you wanted to portray when originally in your head you were focusing more on fonts.

In many ways the key to success with selling t-shirts online can be the same method you apply to your hubs and that is to concentrate on current events such as the Soccer World Cup which I have included in the above design. Another similar style is to target a niche market like the 'computer nerd' crowd which I have tried to do in the 'Whizz Kid' logo mentioned last, whilst other online t shirt shops go along with the usual human interests such as pubs, sex and partying.
T shirt merchandising
You may be thinking 'Oh won't it be really hard work?' or 'Who will handle the actual printing side?', these are good questions and where my first concerns because I wondered if there would be any hidden costs. There are numerous sites which deal with all the hard parts for you and it is as simple as setting up an account, owning Photoshop or Illustrator software, and entering your bank or Paypal account details for them to pay you, the site I use pays out quarterly.
They provide templates for your shop background and you upload the logos you wish to use into a 'T-shirt design editor, from here you position it where you would like it to appear. Image requirements such as resolution are detailed in the help section and you also get the option of displaying your shop t shirts on various materials, both gender and hooded sweaters.
Custom T shirt shop
If you are wondering how much you will get paid for your efforts I can tell you that most T-shirt shops online are quite flexible, they include the standard price it costs them to sell a particular plain t-shirt and then leave it to you to decide how much to add for the commission on your design but remember to consider whether you would pay the overall price if it you buying it.
I would like to finish the hub with my overall opinion on the t shirt shop UK industry and say that it is great fun as a passive wage if you enjoy being creative or if you enjoy perusing other peoples logos within a t shirt design shop.
