Well, that makes two of us, because I love Easter too! Alright, alright, I apologize for the bad joke.

The season of sugary-sweet bunnies, eggs and candies is close at hand. I love this festival because it’s a jolly one, full of delicious dinners, lavish lunches, delectable desserts and bustling, animated get-togethers. With so many parties to host and attend, the “What to wear?” question becomes one that is frequently asked during the Easter week. Keeping this in mind, I decided to dedicate a hub towards exploring Easter fashion and makeup trends. Hopefully, these pictures and tips will prove to be inspirational and help you stay fashionable throughout the season.

To understand which colours work well for Easter, look no further than the yummy Easter Egg. Yes, you read right, I said look no further than the yummy Easter Egg. Easter Eggs come in gorgeous pastel shades which look great when infused into your wardrobe. Light blues, pinks, greens and purples are perfect for this festival. Apart from their Easter Egg connection, pastel shades make for a smart choice since we are in Summer and pastel shades radiate a breezy, refreshing charm that is pleasing to the senses.

So, for inspiration, here are a couple of Easter Egg images!

Easter eye makeup:

Opt for shades like lavender, soft pink, turquoise, peach, beige and light blue. See to it that the shade matches your natural skin tone and dress. For a hint of shimmer, you can apply a bit of gold or silver eyeshadow. Apply these shades towards the inner corner of your eyes to make your eyes look brighter. When it comes to eyeliner, try something different. Eyeliners and kajals come in several shades these days, so instead of the traditional black, choose a colour that complements your eyeshadow.

Creamy blushes and pastel lipsticks:

Creamy blushes are perfect for this season. Dab some blush on the apples of your cheeks to give your cheeks a rosy glow. When selecting lip shades, opt for pastel hues in light orange, pink and peach. You could also apply a tinted lip balm instead of lipstick.

Easter nail art:

Festivals are a perfect time to experiment with nail art. Draw inspiration from Easter symbols and motifs and infuse them into your nail art. You could paint your nails in pretty pastel shades and add tiny black spots to make each nail look like an Easter egg. Or you could paint on tiny Easter Bunnies for a more festive touch.

Pastel dresses for Easter:

As Easter approaches, we start worrying about what we’re going to wear for the Easter mass. A smart idea is to stick with the pastel theme and opt for a dress in this shade. You could experiment with dress lengths, collar and sleeve patterns, but when it comes to colour, opt for charming pastel hues. Pastel dresses look elegant and lend a feminine charm which is perfect for a festive mass or dinner!

Pastel Shoes:

Pair your pastel dress with pretty pastel shoes. It’s good to invest in a pair of pastel shoes anyway, as pastel shoes add a stylish twist to your outfit. If you don’t like the idea of wearing pastel heels, you could make do with white ones. But, at least for once, stay away from your black stiletto pumps!

Easter accessories:

You might have to scan the shops a bit for this. Look out for jewellery pieces that infuse Easter motifs, like Easter egg-shaped lockets or bracelets with Easter Bunnies hanging from them. If you don’t find such knick-knacks, opt for jewellery with pastel stones or beads.
