Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Dewy Smooth

Updated on March 18, 2015

Hey again loves! I said that I would also do a review of the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy Smooth. Basically this is the foundation for dry to normal skin that is like the Maybelline Fit Matte Finish. This one is the one that I should have tried in the first place, but silly me, I didn't read what the bottle was supposed to be used for (skin wise). That's okay, I will just put it in my freelance kit. So after a couple of weeks of using the wrong stuff I decide to go to my local store and pick up the right stuff. Which happens to be this stuff. So if you wanted to try the dewy smooth finish and haven't gotten it yet, then stick around and here the positive and negative stuff that I found with this product.

Like always when I start a review on a product I like to remind you that I bought this product on my own, nobody gave it to me for a review. I do not work with or for Maybelline and nobody I know works for them as well. This is my personal opinion on this product. Everyone has their own opinion and I would actually love to hear what you thought too, so you can leave a comment down below or email me.

This is going to be a review on the Dewy Smooth Foundation, if you are looking for a review for the Matte finish then click the link below!

The Review

Alright, lets jump into this review. First thing I want to say is that this is a dewy finish so if you have oily skin, there is a good chance you won't like this. This is a product that is for the dry skinned girls and boys. Basically what they mean by dew is it is going to give you a glowing almost shinny texture to your skin so that your skin will look more oily and not as lifeless as dry skin tends to be.

This foundation is a light to sheer coverage and it is meant to fit your skin, which I always like things that are designed to fit different skin types. They have 16 colors to choose from, which is a nice amount for any drug store product. Also I have to say there are not many drugstore foundation that are meant for dry skin, so it is nice to have something that is a dewy finish. I do like that you can build it up to the coverage that you want, because I tend to like a little more coverage than normal. I also like that it does not make my sensitive skin breakout or make my skin itch or red. Those are defiantly things that I appreciate in any product. The product is not heavy, I don't feel like I am wearing a whole bunch of makeup when I wear this foundation. Also it made my skin look really healthy.

To me this product doesn't last that long. I mean it basically needs to be touched up, maybe after four hours, which might be a big deal, but I basically work from home so its not that big of a deal for me. The coverage isn't amazing. If you build up, then it covers fine, but if you put too much on, on a hot day it almost feels too sticky, and when I wear glasses it tends to rub off easily. Which I don't like that it sticks to my Ralph Lauren sunglasses at all, but again if you put a little powder over the product it isn't as bad. So I can kind of deal with the fact that it's not perfect. Nothing is ever perfect right?

Below is a picture of me wearing the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy Smooth. I feel like my skin looks brighter than normal, but also the flash on my camera is really bright.

So basically I only got this product because I ran out of my normal foundation and ended up buying the wrong stuff. In all honesty, I feel like I love this product more than my normal stuff. I mean this stuff is less expensive than my normal stuff and it does a little less coverage, but as I said before you can build it up to what you want it to look like. I think that if you have dry skin you should defiantly give this foundation a shot and if you have oily skin give the matte finish a chance. They are only around eight dollars. I will put a link below and you can get it for six!

If one of my friends asked me if I would use this product I would defiantly let them know that this is one of my favorite drug store foundations.

Have you tried Maybelline Fit Me Dewy Smooth? Do you love it?
