Mens Money Clips

Updated on June 27, 2011

The money clip. The saviour of wallets? Wallets 2.0? Trendy? Disposable? Useless?

Whatever you may think a money clip is you can't argue with what it actually is - a convenient and easy way to carry money. It's ingenious because of how simple it is; and for some reason we, as humans, love simplicity. It doesn't have the bulkiness of a normal wallet, with all the extra coin pouches and card sleeves; it only has a purpose of one thing and one thing only and that is to carry money.

So that might get you thinking... well then what kind of variety is there in mens money clips? If it just a clip to carry money what else is there?

Like all things material there is a slight tinge of fashion that has to be taken into account. That's no different with a mens money clip; there are thousands of different clips to choose from, ranging from different prices, to unique designs.

Now the question is - what kind of money clip is for you?

Leather Money Clips

Leather money clips are one of the most popular mens money clip. They are elegant yet rugged looking; all leather money clips come with unique and secure stitching making them a vary viable option. Leather money clips come in a variety of colors such as tan, black, blue, red, and brown.

If you really want to find a mens money clip that will go above and beyond the call of duty, you can get the leather money clip engraved, by stitching, with a name.

Slim Money Clip

If leather is too... old fashioned... for you then maybe you should vie for the slim money clip. These are about half the size of a leather money clip and will hold all bills as well as credit cards; you can buy either a single clip, or a double clip, depending on your need.

A slim money clip is very compact and will fit almost anywhere; if you ever have to travel a far distance, and don't trust yourself with a money clip, a slim money clip can easily slip into something more durable like, say, a wallet.

Usually made of durable stainless steel, chrome, or rubber, the slim money clip is a very good choice for a mens money clips. It is durable, convenient and can hold up to 30 bills as well as 12 cards - if that's what you're looking for.

Magnetic Money Clip

This is the most expsenive out of all mens money clips but it is also of the highest quality. It comes in an array of designs, such as leather, and therefore looks very fashionable with any outfit. The best part of all? Magnets will keep your bills secure and won't demagnetize any of your credit cards. It is, by far, the most secure money clip.

Most magnetic money clips also feature a few extra pockets for driver licenses and credit cards; it is designed in a way that it doesn't make it anymore bulky then a leather money clip.

Why need a wallet when you can have a money clip?

So who says they are only for men? I have and use a money clip--when I have any money, that is--it fits in my jeans pocket and I don't have to fumble for my wallet.
