Why Did I Need this Product?

I got diagnosed with Keratosis Pilaris over a year ago. Keratosis Pilaris is a type of skin disorder that causes hair follicles to over build with keratin. Keratin is already in our bodies. This skin disorder causes my skin to discolor and turn red. There was patches of red bumpy skin all over my face and arms. It embarrassed me, because people would look at me weird. They would always ask if I was having an allergic reaction or something. I got sick of it and went to the doctor. She told me to find an emollient which is thicker than lotion. I tried everything until I found one, Gold Bond Healing Lotion. It is a lotion, but it is thicker like an emollient. I checked the reviews first and they were great, so I have it a try.

This is a picture of what my skin looks like sometimes. Gold Bond Healing Lotion has improved the redness.

My Thoughts

I noticed the bottles come in different sizes. One of them came with a pump. I like the pump way better than a cap. The bottle itself is great and has some good information on it. It is a lot thicker than a lotion, so it does take a minute to rub in. I started noticing improvement after two weeks. I will always have Keratosis Pilaris, but it might improve with age as well. I knew this, but I knew trying this lotion would help. I use it twice a day and after I shower. My arms don't stay red as long as they used to. My skin is slowly starting to approve. I like using this product a lot, because it is very hydrating and my skin isn't dry anymore. All together, I do like Gold Bond Healing Lotion and when I run out, I will purchase more. It's also good to use during winter when my skin is very dry. I would recommend this product to anyone; it doesn't matter what type of skin you have.

Compared To Other Products

Compared to other products I have tried, this is the only one that I have seen improvement with. Everyone's skin is different, so Gold Bond Healing Lotion may or may not work for you. You can always try products and some stores might let you return them. I tried the regular Gold Bond that is in a yellow/orange tube and it worked ok for my body, but not my face. I also used Aveeno for a long time and I didn't see no improvement. Eucerin Redness Relief didn't even work for what it's suppose to do. I used Burt's Bee's Sensitive Cleanser, so I thought I'd try the lotion. I liked the smell, but it wasn't hydrating enough for my skin. I refuse to use any expensive lotions or emollients.

Where Do I Find This Lotion?

You can find Gold Bond Healing Lotion at your local department store or you can order it online and it would be cheaper. Amazon has it for a decent price. The link below will help you find it easier.
