Narrow Calf Boots—Favorite Styles for Slim Legs
Quick Links to Narrow-Calf Boots
The hunt for tried-and-true narrow calf boots
No thanks for saggy elephant ankles. The first thing I look for when getting new boots is a thin, narrow, straight-up, and slender shaft (the shaft is the part of the boot that covers your calf). There seem to be plenty of wide-calf boots out there, with stretch-elastic at the back to go ever wider, but what about slender boots for those women with narrow calves? I'm finding that these boots do exist, but you have to look in the right places. I've done some research and read some reviews, and here are some of the favorite boots for women with narrow calves.
Narrow Calf Vintage-Style Boots, Heath Button Boots from Anthropologie
Heath Button Boots for Thin and Slender Calves
I came across these narrow-calf boots on Pinterest and fell in love. These are Anthropologie's Heath Button Boots. When I read the reviews, I found that wide-calf reviewers were complaining that they couldn't zip them up, and narrow-calf buyers were rejoicing. I love the slender and elegant shape, all trim and sweet at the ankle especially. No folds or sagging here! Product details give these boots a slim 13'' diameter for the calf, and 3.5'' stacked leather heels. The buttons are an especially cute touch. I'd like to take a train ride to Chicago in these beauties.
Reviewers warn, however, that the buttons are not very high quality. Some of them had their buttons pop off, or even break. A pity—the buttons are the cutest part. Also, buyers should know that these narrow-calf boots are a lighter shade than the photos show. They're not as rich of a brown hue, but are really more of a dark tan with a hint of pink. Hmmm. You may want to see them in person!
Duo's Narrow-Calf Boots from the UK
Slim-Calf Boots are Popular in UK!
If you'd like a huge selection of gorgeous, well-fitting, high quality slim-calf boots, check out the Duo Boots from the UK. Most boots are over $300, but the fit, they say, is worth it. Duo's style is simple, streamlined, with shapely toes and heels. No chunky or floppy boots here! Their collection of narrow calf boots is truly amazing. Why does the UK have such a good selection? I'm wondering if British girls have smaller, straighter figures, and aren't so curvy as the majority of Americans. I'm not positive about that, but if you are struggling to find narrow-calf boots in American stores, you may want to check these out: DUO Narrow-Calf Boots. Duo's boots frequently advertise a "fitted ankle," and it's no joke. These ankles are as tiny as the Duchess of Cambridge's little finger.

Lace up Boots Give Snug Fit to Slim and Narrow Calf Boot-Wearers
In my research, I've come across quite a few highly recommended lace-up knee high boots that can get nearly as tight as you want them, for narrow calves. The cushy-soled has some slick laces up the front, and comes in a variety of colors and finishes. The calf opening is 13.5'' but reviewers say it can be cinched down to 12'' and opened up to 15''. There is a 1/2 inch platform. Ladies love the fit and style—they say it can be dressy or casual, whatever you put with it, and looks great with a leather coat and leggings. Only complaint is that the leather is stiff, like all new leather. Hey, that means it's real! Dr. Martens Women's 1B60 20-Eye Boot
The Fluevog Bondgirl Boot
Narrow Calf BondGirl Boot
Fluevog Bondgirl Boot—Pretty Sweet for a Slim Calf Boot
This Bondgirl boot is exactly how it sounds. Think spy-class quality for Agent 99. For a chunky sole with lots of tread, the narrow shaft of this boot is hard to match. Add to that some sweet buckles (which can be tightened for even thinner calves) and you have one very cute, irresistible Bond. Bond Girl. One drawback is that they increase the calf width every two sizes. So, for 6-7, you get a nice thin 13'' calf, but 7-8 is 14'' and 9-10 is 15''. The price could be a bit much to swallow, though, at $325. Buyers say they're worth every penny, even if they don't have a telephone in the heel.
Stuart Weitzman's Pricey Narrow-Calf Boots
Stuart Weitzman—The Skinny, Expensive Boots for Narrow Calves
Everywhere you turn, skinny girls are talking about Stuart Weitzman boots. For fussy feet and slender calves, these boots have high ratings—and high prices. It seems that, the narrower the circumference, the higher the price. But for some people, the price is worth it! Take a look at these gorgeous suede GIVEITUP boots (made in Spain) that come in Maroon, Grey, and Black, with a 13'' calf width and 3.75'' stiletto heel. A whopping $695.
Or take the Stuart Weitzman 5050 boot, also with high reviews for a slim-calf boot. Made of Suede and leather (from Spain, of course!), the calf circumference is 14'' and the heel is under an inch. $598
The Highland Boot is a gorgeous, above-knee length with a nipped-in, cute little ankle similar to the DUO boots. Suede, with a 14'' circumference, and a tightening draw-string at the top to ensure a snug fit. One reviewer who is 5'6'' said the boot goes halfway up her thigh and is such a good fit it feels like second-skin. This boot comes in black and tan. $750

CHEAP Narrow-calf boots at Target! Of all places!
Today I was walking through Target and all of a sudden I saw these gorgeous slender-calf boots in several colors. My size (and many other sizes) were sold out (a good sign?). I tried on a half size larger than I need, (I have a 13.5'' calf) and there was only a little bit of gapping. My one wish is that the ankle were slimmer, but the slim calf boot was actually was pretty nice for Target! You may want to check these out if you are on a budget but still want a stylish boot that won't bag around your calf. This is the Mossimo Kayce Tall Boot, in Brown, Black, and Grey. The boot shaft width is 14'' (not bad...) and is a fairly high shaft (15"). And, they're WELL under $100. These are for sale at Target.com for only $32. Yeah, you may have to replace them every year, but that's a price I could live with!
Next to the Kayce boots were the Kamari boots, with definitely more of a western flair, but just as slim of a calf! Very surprising, and very cute. I love the strap size on these (see below). These are a little more baggy than the Kayce, a very tall boot, with a circumference of 14.5'' (a little bigger). These are also $32.
