Night Cream Reviews - Get Rid of Wrinkles Overnight!

Updated on February 16, 2013

You can't beat a good night cream - more so if you haven't used one before or you're already enjoying a regular skin care routine. Using the time we spend asleep as another method of taking care of our skin means that we're doing our best around the clock.

Night creams are formulated to work whilst we're sleeping ... they tend to be heavier on the active agents (oils etc) and more moisturizing as we're not showing our faces to the outside world. That doesn't mean that the nighttime equivalent of a face cream will cover you in grease - they don't, they're just a little more intense.

The five best night creams are featured below. They're the best for oily skin, anti aging and wrinkles, dry skin and so on. Big favorites, highly rated and - of course - the best.

Olay Total Effects Night Firming Cream for Face and Neck

This is the best selling firming night cream and is a part of the Olay Total Effects range. If you buy this one its best used in conjunction with the rest of the range are they're formulated to compliment each other.

It's an anti aging cream and packed full of vitamins - B3, B5 and E, plus it contains coconut oil which is wonderful for firming skin, moisturizing, wrinkles and more. Used over a period of time you will see an improvement to the face - it will feel more supple, re-hydrated and refreshed. Different users will see different results because we all have different skin types and issues but, for what it is and does - it is one of the best night creams.

RoC Mulit-Correxion Night Treatment

This is the best retinol night cream - and another that's great for fighting against the signs of aging. Retinol is an active form of Vitamin A - it's used for a number of reasons, not least because it absorbs easily through the skin and can improve cell regeneration and collagen production.

It's also commonly found in acne skin care treatments as it's known for it acne fighting benefits so if you suffer from acne prone skin or oily skin - you may find this one is doubly beneficial. Over time it can reduce fine lines and the appearance of wrinkles as you skin is slowly rejuvenated. Loved by many, recommended for those with acne and currently on offer at a nice discount price.

Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Night Cream with Natural Shiitake Complex

This is a wonderfully popular night cream - Aveeno is a range that's trusted and relied upon time and again by women and men everywhere. Being non-comedogenic product it's safe for those with oily or acne prone skin as it won't block pores whilst it goes to work.

The cream contains shea butter, which is a lovely moisturizing agent and derived from a fat that naturally occurs in Shea trees. It's full of good stuff - vitamins F, A and E, plus it's not a compound that leaves the skin with an oily or greasy layer. An all round good moisturizing cream - it's good value for money and will leave you're skin butter soft and refreshed.

Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night Cream, Active Copper

This is a top night cream for those with mature skin. I'm not aware that it's creation is aimed purely at those in their 40's and over but - it seems to work so well with skin that's been around the block! Now - I'm talking about general damage from life - sun damage, a skin care routine that's been less than habitual over the years - nothing too scary!

A few lines here and there, a little dryness due to lack of long term care of the skin - this cream appears to 'mop' up the damage after a short period of time. Cost wise it's not the most expensive cream and it is highly rated - and I've had clients that use it by choice and rave about it!

Jason Orjene CoQ10 OliveVitale Age Recovery Night Treatment Cream

This is the best selling organic night cream - it looks a little expensive next to the other products but for the price you're getting 2 x 2 ounce jars - so it's a good value for money product. It's packed full of good stuff - one of my personal favorites being coconut oil.

This is a wonderful, naturally occurring product that has so many benefits - and yet many people have no idea about its beneficial properties. It's one of nature's best moisturizers and has no known side affects when used as such - plus this cream has lots of other oils and vitamins in and among the ingredients. A lovely natural night cream, definitely one for the eco-conscious that want to purchase a top face cream whilst also keeping to their principles.

Which is your favorite anti aging night cream?
