How to Fix Oily Skin

There are lot of variables causing oily skin. One of the reasons why people have oily skin is probably a chemical unbalance with hormones. Washing your face too much can also lead to oily skin because your face needs a certain amount of oil for it to be maintained. The excessive washing causes more oil production. Stress can cause to disrupt the hormones resulting in more oil production. So slow down, take a deep breathe. The only good thing about oily skin (at least from what I read) that people with oily skin tend not to wrinkle -so there ya go.

But to control oily skin you need to relax, calm down and slow down. Take a deep breathe again.

Another thing is that I know all the "experts" say that food is a myth when caring for your skin, but I believe these so called experts are WRONG. You are what YOU EAT. Everybody is different and reacts different too. I remember eating a vegetarian diet and noticed how the oil on my face was greatly reduced. So just try it out and pay attention to all your habits and all the foods you eat.

Old pillow cases tend to build up dirt and oil causing ACNE on your face. SO PLEASE DO THIS!

Do not use any harsh cleansers. Use light cleansers that will still keep your skin hydrated. I have used so many products on my skin that I probably damaged it even more. Products like St Ives (although they were okay) Proactiv, neatrogena, oxy, ect, you name it.

But the best cleanser I have used so far is CeraVe hydrating cleanser. I am not being paid by CeraVe to write this crap down. I am writing this crap down because I had OILY SKIN and I HATED IT. I always wondered why my skin was like this and I wanted to fix it. CeraVe is light and hydrating to the skin. After a wash it leaves my skin soft and clean. It feels so good like your skin is healing and coming back together. For intensive oily skin try the CeraVe foaming cleanser.

The hydrating cleanser balances your skin and leaves it feeling moisturized. Overwashing your face will result in dryer skin. Dryer skin = over production of OIL = OILY SKIN.

If you are like me moisturizers tend to not work for me. I break out putting on more moisturizers. This cleanser leaves my face feeling clean and moisturized but without the feeling of adding on facial moisturizers -if that makes any sense.
