Papaya Face Mask for Clear Complexion

Papaya face mask helps to exfoliate the skin and remove its blemishes.Papaya contains an enzyme called papain, Papain is an ingredient of many skin lotions based on papaya. It is also very good treatment for sunburn and blemishes. Papaya face mask helps to moisturize the skin. It reduces the signs of premature aging. The fruit has restorative properties which gives the skin a soft and glowing look. Papaya face mask is useful for dry, oily and normal skin. There are several recipes for papaya face mask. Christopher Colombus called papaya "fruit of the angels”. The brightly colored papaya contains antioxidants, fiber, potassium, vitamin C, flavanoids and carotenes.

Papaya Face Mask

Peel papaya and remove all the seeds. Put it in a blender and make a fine paste. Apply it on the face. Wash it off after 30 minutes.


Papaya and Oatmeal

Peel papaya and put it in a blender. Add 4 tsp of oatmeal, one egg white and 2 tsp of lemon juice. Apply the paste to your face and wash it off after 30 minutes.

Papaya and Pineapple

Take some peeled papaya in a blender. Add a few slices of pineapple to it. Add two tsp of honey. Blend it well and apply it to your face. Wash it off after 30 minutes.

Clay and Papaya

Cosmetic clay helps to unclog the blocked skin pores. Aloe Vera gel is a very good moisturizer. Mash 100 gms of papaya add two tsp of Aloe Vera and 4 tsp of cosmetic clay. Mix it well. Apply the paste your face and neck wash it off after 30 minutes.

Yogurt and Papaya

Yogurt is a probiotic which contains enzymes which moisturize and soften the skin. It is a very good face cleansing agent and has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It contains lactic acid which helps to soften the skin. Honey helps to hydrate the skin. It also helps to make the skin soft and glowing Take half a cup of papaya. Add 2 tsp of yogurt, 2 tsp of honey and one tsp of fresh lemon juice. Put it in a blender and make a fine paste. The paste should be thick and not runny. Apply it to your face and wash it off after 30 minutes. You will be able to tell the difference. Your skin will be much better than before.

However some people could be allergic to papaya. To test whether you are allergic to papaya, apply the pulp on a small portion of the fruit your face. If the skin becomes red within 24 hours you should not use the papaya face mask.
