Philips QT4011 Pro Skin Advance Vs Philips QT4005/15 Trimmer Review

Updated on February 18, 2015

Comparing Philips QT4011 vs Philips QT4005/15

I write this review from my personal experience of purchasing the Philips QT4011 trimmer few months ago. I chose to write it because there is a hidden pitfall waiting for many people (including myself) who rely a lot on product reviews before saying the final go to purchase a product online. I'll highly recommend you read on if you are at the this stage and I promise you'll thank me at the end.

Why Buying Philips QT4005/15 Trimmer can be the biggest mistake you can make?

If you see the screenshot from one of the online shopping sites, you can notice that QT4005/15 is 5-star rated 5 times more than Philips QT4011. This unbelievably high rating blew my mind when I first saw it and I almost clicked the buy button button for Philips QT4005/15 without second-thought. Since, it's really rare for online products to have such huge positive reviews, and if it has so - i though-, it must be really good. Suddenly, it was just some random geeky intuition that whispered me to do a double-check on it. And guess what I found out.

Philips QT4011 is the new smarter brother of Philips QT4005/15 Trimmer

Yes, that's right. The Philips QT4011 is a successor of QT4005/15, with one major advantage.

  • Philips QT4011 gets fully charged in 1 hour while the other one takes 10 hours. That's 10 x faster!!!

This is essentially what makes QT4011 better.

The Catch

The catch here is that since Philips QT4011 is very new compared to QT4005, the online stores shows the reviews what the older brother has acquired for months and years before the launch of this new model. In a glance, people don't understand that Philips QT4011 was released long time after QT4005 with very good improvements.

Advantages of Philips QT4011

To round up, following are the major advantages of this model which is not found in the older version (QT4005/15)

  • Takes only 1 hour fully charge and 60 minutes runtime (the other one has only 45 minutes runtime)
  • Titanium coated blades

Common features of both Trimmers

  • No oiling required
  • World-wide warranty
  • LIght indicator
  • Detachable head ( easier to clean)

My Personal Experience with Philips QT4011

I've been using mine for over 2 months now and I'm very impressed with it. It is very precise, smooth and sharp. Another secret :- although advertised that it has 60 minutes runtime, I'm actually getting more than that!! It's worth it's value for money and I hope it will get soon cross the scoring of its predecessor. I highly recommend you buy this product. I bought this in India and at the time of purchase, I found that had a slightly lower price than Flipkart. Please find the product link at the top of this page to find it's details on Amazon.
