Great Hair Cuts

Updated on July 7, 2016

The Pixie Cut

Sexy, and a little scary, I've absolutely have always loved the pixie cut. The scary part about the pixie is not that you're losing your hair, but rather making sure you have a hairstylist that can do a pixie cut very well.

A pixie cut can be one bad snip away from 6 weeks of bad hair. So make sure your hair dresser isn't A. Snip happy, and B. Good at pixie cuts.

My favorite color in a pixie cut is blonde, I personally think blonde pixie cuts are super sexy. I personally don't like the color red with a pixie cut, I've done it myself and it comes out looking weird, at least to me.

The Side Shave

I loved my side shave when I had it. However my hair wasn't very long, so it looked very awkward, I would put extensions in but it always came out looking weird. However I love long hair with a side shave. Its cut, edgy and easy to hid if you need to.

This hairstyle isn't for the faint of heart, it has its downsides. It takes a long time for the shaved hair to grow out again, and when you start growing it the shorter hair can be really annoying. Its hard to pull it up if you decide to wear your hair up. Its too short to pull up but its so long on the side it looks funny.

The Lob

The long bob or otherwise known at the lob is my current hair goal. I am absolutely in love with this shaggy look. Its a sweet mature haircut.

This is my favorite alternative to very very long hair. The bob can do many different things, pulled up in a messy bun (or using a sock bun piece). Left straight and causal or curly and sexy. Its also easier to enjoy different hair colors with the lob. My personal favorite type of hair dye style (even though its outdated now) the ombre.

I'm am truly hoping to grow my hair out long enough to enjoy a sexy lob cut.

Dread Locks

I've always loved the shape and form of dread locks. I find them extremely sexy, and very natural. I've had dread locked in the past. Both synthetic and real. With dread locks it must be known that they can be painful, and are very high maintenance hairstyle. This hairstyle can sometimes be met with hate and anger.

Some people things its gross, and other people find that it is very rude to the cultures that are well known for having dread locks.

However just be your true self. If you love having dread locks, then rock those. Don't let anyone tell you who to be.

V-Cut

This is the ultimate hair goal. I've never been a fan of the straight across hair cut with long hair (if you do those more power to you! do you!) With very long hair I love the long layers to create fullness and I love the V-Point that the hairstyle creates.

I wish my hair was this long so I can have a HUGE fluffy bun. However due to slow hair growth, meh its a far ahead goal for me.

All the Times I Tried These

I've tried so many hairstyles over the years. Some I've loved, some I've hated. I wish I could have my dreadlocks back. Currently my job wont let me have them. So I'm going to keep working on my boss until I get my way and get them back.

However I'm goal now is to just grow out my hair nice and long. Right now its about shoulder length so I'm hoping by next December I'll have a nice length to my hair.

Thanks for reading my hub! Feel free to interact with it by answering my poll and letting me know what hair cut you like the most!
