4 Cool & Quick Ways to Glam up your Eyes

Updated on September 11, 2014

Tip: When choosing an eyeliner, always opt for one that is smudge-proof and waterproof. Also, gel eyeliners are your best bet because they deliver intense colour and are easy to apply. L’Oreal Paris offers the Super Liner Gel Matic eyeliner range which is absolutely fabulous. If boring black eyeliners aren’t your thing, these L’Oreal Paris gel eyeliners will offer you a breather because it has eyeliners in vibrant, eye-catching colours like gold, silver, turquoise and brown. Get colourful, get creative!

Are you an eye makeup person, which is the kind of person who mostly prefers doing up her eyes, rather than her entire face when it comes to applying makeup? If you said yes, smart move right there because sultry, attractive eyes can light up and beautify your whole face, so you have half the job done. All you need to do now, is smear on some fruity lip balm or a bight lipstick and voila! You’re ready to hit the road!

However, if you rely so much on the power of your eye makeup to glam up your face, you need to try something different and interesting each day. Find yourself running out of ideas? Well, here are 4 trendy eye makeup ideas to help you play up your beautiful peepers.

Eyeliner Magic:

Eyeliner is like a magic wand because, with a single sweep or flick of it, you can infuse your eyes with sultry intensity and captivating charm. The best part is that there are so many eyeliner styles to try out. Whether it’s the classic Cat eye look or the futuristic double eyeliner look, you can create and carry off a new style everyday!

Charismatic Eye Makeup:

Smartly applied eye makeup can infuse your eyes with jaw-dropping beauty. Whether it’s brushing on a single eye shadow shade or getting creative with two or three shades, applying eye makeup, although slightly time consuming, is the best way to play up your eyes. For day wear, stick to lighter, fresher hues like lilac, blue or brown shades. For night wear, opt for darker, glitzier options.

Dual Drama: Kajal + Eyeliner

It has already been established that eyeliner can do wonders for your eyes. Now imagine pairing it with another amazing beauty product – kajal! Both these products effectively glam up your eyes.

To pull off this look, apply kajal on your lower lash line and a vibrant, coloured eyeliner on your upper lash line. Opt for a creative eyeliner style like the winged eye look or the cat eye look.

Bold Bushy Brows:

Think Cara Delevigne or Audrey Hepburn. Bold bushy brows actually have an alluring feminine appeal. However, this doesn’t mean you sport wild, unshaped eyebrows. To pull off this look, you need to sport thick, bushy eyebrows, but you should shape them well. So, stop plucking your eyebrows for at least 6-8 weeks and allow them to grow out. Then, pluck out stray hairs to shape them, but keep the body of your brows thick. Use a comb to groom your eyebrows in a single direction and use an eyebrow pencil to darken and define your brows.

@ DDE: Thank you for your kind words. Maybe you could try out just a kajal and lip balm. Nothing too over-the-top, just enough product to add sparkle to your eyes and lips. :)

@FlourishAnyway: True that. Most of the time I do just that, highlight my eyes and smear on some lip balm. Quick, easy and yet, you look presentable enough for photographs! :)
