Really Cool Nursing Scrub Uniforms

Updated on July 10, 2011

I'm not in the health care business, so when I say that I've spent a lot of times in the hospital in the past few months, it's because of medical reasons. Not for me, but nevertheless it's serious. One thing that brought some 'lightness' to the gravity of the situation is the scrubs that some of the nurses are wearing. They wore something different from the usual plain and drab look that everyone perceive hospital uniforms to be. And I like it!

I like to see prints. I like to see designs. I like to see different colors.

The ones that I thought are cool and should make great gifts to my sisters and cousins who are nurses are the cartoon-themed ones. They are so appropriate in helping brighten the day of someone who doesn't want to be in the hospital -- the sick and the relatives who have to accompany the sick.

Disney Scrub Tops

Everybody loves Disney!  Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell, Bambi, and the Lion King are all timeless classics.  Many of us grew up watching them.  Our kids are growing up watching them.

When I was caring for my aunt at the hospital a few months ago, a handful of nurses were wearing Disney scrub tops and I couldn't keep my eyes off them.  I was not staring, but my eyes wander to their direction so that I may see which characters were in the print.

Another group of loveable cartoon characters are Bugs Bunny and friends. Looney Tunes! Or Looney Toons, depending on how you remember them. They also make great prints for apparels, including nursing scrubs.

Besides Bugs, there's Daffy Duck (cooler than Donald Duck), Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Speedy Gonzales, Wile E. Coyote (super genius), and Road Runner.

Snoopy Scrubs and Peanuts Gang

Now, I like Disney and all, but when it comes to great childhood shows, to me, Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Woodstuck, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and pretty much all of the Peanuts gang were it. Snoopy, especially.

I've always been a fan of the Flying Ace. How can you not? It's Snoopy flying his dog house like a WWI fighter pilot. Then there's Linus. He's basically a musical prodigy. But since he's a child, he still have his insecurities, thus, the blanket.

What I like most about the Peanuts gang is the party or event that they put together for each holiday. There's always something that would make it a disaster but the gang pulls though together.
