Packaging and Shades

I bought the revlon lip butters couple of weeks ago and I have been wearing them regularly since then. I have to tell you guys that I love them.

Packaging is very elegant. It has quilted surface on two sides and the other two sides are plain. The top of the cover is clear and magnifying so you can see the color of the lip butter without opening them.

They come in about 12 shades and there is one for every skin tone. Pink Truffle is a very nice nude pink. Peach Parfait is the what Model Emma Stone is wearing in the ad, it is not as coral as it looks in the picture rather it is more of a neutral coral shade. It is definitely a pretty peach color with some shimmer in it which seems gritty on the lips and I can imagine people being annoyed by it. Berry Smoothie is a very nice pinky Berry color.

Texture and Staying Power

Overall the lip butters are smooth and creamy and all have good pigmentation. They are like tinted lip balm with longer lasting than just a lip balm. They are definitely smoother than lipsticks and do not need a lip gloss for some shine as needed with lipsticks.

They are good when worn alone and even better with a lipliner under them. They last for a good amount of 4 hours with a lipliner and about 2 hours without. Keep in mind that with the hours I mentioned, I did not eat or drink in between.

Overall rating and Availability

I highly recommend lip butters. These were a part of my Christmas and New Year gifts for my girlfriends and they all like it. Check out the shades at your local drugstore, there is one for everyone!!!
