Romantic Heart Shaped Watches for Women

Updated on March 15, 2011

Heart shaped watches make wonderful gifts because they are unique, show thought, and can be romantic, too. If you're a guy and are looking for something special to give your sweetheart "just because" or perhaps for Valentine's Day, Christmas or her Birthday, I really do highly recommend buying her a heart shaped watch.

I wish that a guy had bought me mine, but about a year ago, I bought my own heart shaped watch online just because I didn't have a man in my life. I just loved the watch so much and was looking for something with a bit of whimsy and that nobody else would have. I definitely found it! I am honestly not kidding when I tell you that the heart shaped watch I bought has provided me with more compliments than anything else I've ever owned in my entire life. I absolutely love my watch and apparently so do a lot of other people!

This is the exact watch that got me all the compliments! Brand name called Sturhling

Automatic, No Batteries Required Heart Shaped Skeleton Watches

I bought my Sturhling Original Women's Cupid Skeleton watch online at Amazon. I paid around $125 and it was a set that came with 3 straps in total - black (dark brown, really), brown, and tan. I happen to love the gold rim around the face. For me, gold is the new silver even though I used to hate gold. Okay, but what's really cool about these watches regardless of which color you choose is that they are see through (skeleton) and don't require batteries! It's really neat to be able to actually watch the inner workings of my watch and has made for an interesting conversation piece more times than I can count.

This watch is a little bigger than I'm used to but it's actually part of what makes it so unique. It's not HUGE, just bigger than your typical women's watch.

The only bad thing about this is that sometimes I'll have to wind it a few times to get it going again and move it around a bit but it's a small price to pay for it not needing batteries in my opinion anyway.

I really love the idea of heart shaped watches so much and would like to get another one - or maybe my boyfriend can buy one for me now that I have one - but I'm honestly so in love with this watch that I'd hate to not wear it every day like I do now.

However, here are some more heart shaped watches that I really like!

Another Sturhling heart shaped watch - I can't help myself!

Sturhling Heart Shaped Diamond Laced Watches

I'm really impressed with the Sturhling brand and was surprised to find another heart shaped watch made by this company. It's a little more expensive than the one I have but there are actually diamonds on the face that make up the heart which I guess explains the price! That's right - diamonds!

Reallllllly pretty, this watch comes in red, brown, white and black. There are two price levels on this watch. The cheaper one has diamonds just around the heart but the more expensive one has diamonds around the heart as well as the entire rectancle square of the face. I suppose it depends how much sparkle you want and how much you're willing to pay!

Both the cheaper and the more expensive types come in all four colors I mentioned.

I used to love Fossil watches when I was in my early 20s and I still do. There's just something about the brand that is fresh. I actually used to wear a Fossil watch all the time before I got my heart shaped Sturhling watch that I was just raving about (see above). It was not a heart shaped watch, just a regular one, but I loved it nonetheless.

The brand name Fossil has a pretty good reputation for quality and although they don't produce Swiss timepieces, their watches are certainly chic!

I love the gold one at the bottom. Like I said, I now prefer gold over silver but it could just be a phase I'm going through. Take your pick - gold or silver! Most women have a preference for metal color.

Heart Shaped Watches Under $50

While it's true that you get what you pay for, you don't need to spend a fortune in order to get a nice looking heart shaped watch.

Luxury Heart Shaped Watches

  • For a real luxury occasion, here are some of the more glamorous and glitzy (not to mention expensive) heart shaped watches available.
  • If you're buying one of these for a gift to yourself, all the power to you. However, if you're a guy trying to buy a watch for your girlfriend, make sure that you've been with her for a while and are in a pretty serious relationship. Honestly, if a guy bought me one of these within the first couple of months, it would scare me! Not that I've ever had to worry about it but just saying!
  • These watches really are beautiful though and many women (myself included) would love to¬† have one.

Giving a heart shaped watch as a gift?

If you're giving one of these watches to your girlfriend or wife, a really romantic touch would be to have the back engraved. After you've ordered your watch, just take it to your local engraving shop and have "I love you forever, ____" put on the back or whatever you think would be meaningful. I'm just saying that I sure would appreciate it!

Heart watches can be given to anyone you love as a gift, not just your girlfriend or wife. They're the kind of gift that you could give to your mom, sister or even best friend. Use your imagination! The point here is that the woman who gets the heart shaped watch will think of you every time she checks her wrist for the time (okay, maybe not EVERY time, but you know what I mean).
