How to Get Sexy Lips

Updated on January 2, 2013

How to get rid of chapped Lips!

As we all know our lips can become excessively dry. Well I have ran across some home remedies, that have eliminated dry lips and, leaving them smooth and luscious. First we have to find the source of the problem. There are things that contribute to chapped lips:

· Not drinking enough water

· Licking your lips

· Dry Climates

Not Drinking Enough Water

Water is the most important thing to prevent chapped lips. The average amount of water you are supposed to drink a day is eight glasses a day. I know! That’s a lot of water, and who really keeps count but the idea is to keep the body hydrated.

Licking your lips

Licking your lips can be a hard habit to break. People tend to do it to fix the problem but, it only makes the issue worse. Salvia dries really fast and makes the lips flaky.

Dry Climates

Harsh winds, sun, and dry air are very disastrous to the lips. They tend to dry moisture from the lips. This is something that you really can’t change but, in my home you can buy a humidifier. Otherwise you have to keep the moisturized and your body hydrated.

Those are some of the things that contribute to chapped lips. So here are some of the home remedies I have discovered that can leave you with soft, sexy lips!

Sugar Exfoliater

If you're like me I like to use natural remedies for pretty much everything. One remedy that I have discovered is using sugar as an exfoliater for your lips. The roughness of the sugar helps to smooth out the lips. Here are the easy steps:

  1. Get some sugar(any kind you choose to use)
  2. Put the sugar in a small container
  3. Take some Olive oil or Water.
  4. Mix the sugar Olive oil or water.(Make sure the sugar is gritty)
  5. After you’ve created the mixture. Lightly make circular motions on your lips to get rid of the dry skin.

These easy steps with leave your lips smooth as ever.

Toothbrush Remedy

The other at home remedy I have discovered is the toothbrush remedy. NOT one you use for your teeth. This is pretty self explanatory. Here are the simple steps:

  1. Take a toothbrush
  2. Wet the toothbrush damply
  3. In circular motions get rid of the dry skin with the toothbrush

Wet Towel Method

Another way to get sexy, soft lips is to use a damp towel. It just like the other steps:

  1. Find a clean towel, damp it a little.
  2. With the damp towel you will lightly scrub lips
  3. Follow with a lip balm of your choice.

After you have your smooth lips. Its best to follow up with a chapstick, lip balm, or lip gloss to ensure that your lips stay moisturized. A highly recommended lip balm is Burt's beeswax chapstick. It Has all natural ingredients.

beeswax, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, lanolin, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil,

I really like the Lip Plumping Shop Diamond Lip Plumping Device. It isn't a gloss, it is a plastic lip pump that makes the lips bigger. It doesn't hurt either, this little device is so powerful, after a couple of minutes my lips a like double the size. This is by far my fav new lip product. I recommend exfoliating the lips and following the above steps beforehand though if you want amazing results.
