Pictures of Short Hair Styles

Hair has always been an important part of a woman's appearance and when working outside the home finding something easy to take care of is even more demanding. There are so many hairstyles to choose from. By far, the most professional, are the short hair cut styles that can be really short such as the pixie cut or you can even find one that is shoulder length which is still considered to be very professional.

For those of you that are looking to go a little shorter or wondered what you would look like with Cameron Diaz's new cut of the season then these hair styles may be exactly what you are looking for. You may be looking for something easier to care for, or maybe you just want something totally different that's fun and trendy.

Short and Trendy for Fine Hair

Short hair styles are perfect for you if you have fine hair because it's easy to create lots of volume when you find a haircut that maximizes your hair fullness.

Avoid having your hair cut with a razor because this technique can cause lots of split ends and cause your hair strands to be too flyaway.

If you want a soft easy style then try a haircut that follows your head shape and tapers inward at the nape of your neck.

How to Get More Volume

If you have very fine hair and find it hard to get the volume you want, all you need is a few good products, a round bristle brush and a blow dryer.

Short Curly Hair Cuts

If you have naturally curly hair and you're looking for a new style then it's important to remember that all stylists specialize in working with naturally curly hair.  Don't be afraid to get on the phone and call around for someone that does.

Tips for Softer Curls

  • One of the big mistakes most people make is washing their hair to often.  It's ok to rinse on a daily basis but try not to shampoo more that 2 or three times a week. If you find you can't go that long between washings then use a extra-mild or natural shampoo or your hair will become dry and brittle.
  • Try not to use the blow dryer too often. If you find you need your hair to dry faster then using a diffuser will keep your curls looking soft instead of packed down and tight.
  • Always protect your hair from the sun and wind and make sure you rinse your hair after swimming.

Short hair cuts have really evolved into a sexy feminine look on women, some of the hottest cuts of the season are the choppy mussed layers hairstyle, 80's inspired blonde tossled layers hairstyles, bold crimson curls and the super subtle pixie.
