Single Breasted Blazer

Updated on January 17, 2015

Single breasted blazers are suited for almost all male styles and men of any age. A single breasted blazer can be used to smarten up a casual outfit, or to dress down a formal event. Therefore, it is a very versatile article of clothing that will ensure you will use it even in many years' time.

There are normally usually only 2 or 3 buttons on the right hand column of the blazer for men's blazers or on the left hand column for women's blazers or jackets. The difference between single breasted blazers and double breasted blazers is simply the number of button rows that overlap your waist.

However, like all things, if it's too good to be true it generally is. Being one of the most versatile, fashionable and colloquial jackets, blazers are a lot of trouble to maintain. This starts from the purchase, as you will need a well fitted blazer or you will look too fat or trying to hard to look slim as it will be too tight. Furthermore, blazers will need to be dry cleaned and hung with a special hangar to ensure there are no wrinkles or stretches.
