I spent 22 years in the nursing profession, and I enjoy writing about medical issues. I'm also interested in history, genealogy, and travel.

Beautiful Complexion

Skin Care

There are many new skincare products available for fall and winter, which have resulted from research by companies to find the top-rated skincare products for the purpose of keeping our skin and hair glowing healthy.

Winter winds, dry climates and cold temperatures can be very hard on the skin, particularly if you have dry skin. There are some natural skincare products that you can use from home products, but also many new choices available for purchase.

New Trends in Skincare

The trend for some time has been to develop healthier makeup, and more products are being infused with vitamin-rich, good for the skin, antioxidant ingredients and essential oils. Even mascaras contain polymers and vitamin B for those luscious looking lashes.

The spectrum of pigments in “HD” color available allows you to layer softer for the day; then there are richer, deeper colors for the night. There are Pearl formulas that illuminate the skin and they are very popular this year. The best skin care products are the ones using organic skin care methods of development.

Women are interested in empowering the lips, having cat eyes, using cream and cake liners. We now have eyebrow and eyelash enhancers to help them to grow. Brow gels instead of pencils are the more modern way to fill-in the eye brows. Salmon and honey yellow concealers are excellent to even out blotchy skin.

The Once Opened Beauty Expiration Kit.

The Once Opened Beauty Expiration Kit

A popular product in the beauty market is named The Once Opened Beauty Expiration Kit. The box has waterproof mini labels and a waterproof pen to keep track of and date your products once you start using them. Makeup products expire just like any perishable and need to be thrown away, particularly mascara

Clarisonic Cleansing

Electric beauty is all the rage this season. Clarisonic cleansing is a wonderful, professional-quality skincare brush that removes makeup six times better than traditional methods. It clears pores and reduces the appearance of the pore size. Skincare products then absorb better and your skin will look noticeably healthier.

For the Lips

Luscious Lip Kit is another new product, and it is a lip enhancer. It looks a bit like a plunger but it makes thin lips have a new fullness.

GloMinerals – Luscious Lips Collection includes several GloMinerals in various colors and comes in a cosmetic bag

Skincare and Makeup

Top Rated Skin Care Products

There are some of the best skincare products available now, as they have natural ingredients included to give you healthier skin. These also include several new anti-aging skincare products.

They include red, black, green tea, pumpkin, chocolate, seaweed, ginseng, aloe, caffeine, copper, cucumber, brown sugar, retinol, black rice, pearl powder, rice bran oil, cold plasma, according to skin car specialist Nicolas Perricone, who is known for top-rated skincare products

The Physicians Formula Pearls of Perfection Face Tints, Translucent Glow is another popular product. They have an amazing amount of nutrients

My 5 Step Skincare Routine

In Conclusion

Remember to choose the right fashions and accessories as certain colors will definitely brighten your complexion and those colors are different for different complexions. Some people look better in silver or gold jewelry also, depending on their clothing, hair color and complexion.

Fall and winter fashions seem to be using a lot of animal prints and faux animal skin. The other popular colors this season are olive green, plum, cream and hot chocolate, along with some pastel prints with rich color.

You can discover a whole new look this year by changing your color schemes and with all the new makeup. Your skincare treatment makes a big difference, and it can make your skin glowing, looking young and healthy.

Your eye lashes can look thicker and your lips plumper. It is amazing that there are so many new make-up products on the market. Most importantly, be yourself as you will always be in fashion.

Support Med, I think it is hard to know which products are really the best for you. I have been using honey with a little olive oil in it on my face, leaving it on for about 10 min. about once a week. It does seem like my skin is softer as my skin is dry normally. I appreciate your comments.

There are so many beauty products to choose from. They all have their appeal in one way or another. I guess the best way to really go natural is from the kitchen cabinet. But, for some reason, all of these cremes and lotions make me feel more like a lady, maybe its the aroma and the textures, as well as the hope that they will make a difference. Voted and rated.

Petra, I am definitely interested in natural skin care and will check out your hubs. I didn't know that was your background, so you are much more knowledgeable about skin care. I am reading and experimenting. Thanks for your comments.

I will be reading your hub with great interest since I spent over 20 years of my life as an onwer of a skin care clinique and also an esthetician.

I wrote here on HP plenty of skin care articles under the name Gabriella D'Anton and if you are as facinated as I am about this subject, you may want to check out some of them. Most of those hubs deal with the perpetual lies and misleading information through which the beauty industry is brainwashing the public.

Petra, That is so true and I wrote another hub also about beauty secrets around the world (listed below) where women were using natural products. Thanks so much for your comments.

    Hello Pamela,

This is a very well reasearched hub that brings a lot of good information about the confusing and decieving world of cosmetics.

"Natural" and "Organic" cosmetics are magic words, but just an advertisment technique; nothing could be further from the truth, but people will pay anything for the dream and hope of being forever young. After being loaded with additives and preservatives, there is very little nature left in the so called "natural cosmetics"

Though I am not too familiar with cosmetics, I am a big fan of natural products that are applied to the skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body and is very permeable. What goes on, gets in as well, effecting our overall well being. It is very important to know what is in your skincare products, great hub!

Maybe Obama will add these treatments to our medicar...

This is really fantastic hub and an important one, many women great the wrong answers and what works for one kind of skin might not work for another kind. This is a must read and I rate this hub up
