Tattoos of WWE Superstars

Updated on June 16, 2012

Tattoos are an expression of one's self. Often they commemorate a significant event in a person's life. For a wrestler they can commemorate the stages in their wrestling career. Often tattoos are used to enhance the look of the WWE wrestler. Let's take a look at some of the tattoos of WWE wrestlers and find out what they are all about,

CM Punk has many Tattoos. He believes tattoos should be a part of who you are. On his fists he has the words drug free spelled out. On his left hand he has the words, no Gimmicks needed! Other tattoos include the Pepsi logo and his dog's paw! According to CM Punk there are more tattoos on the way. His most famous tattoo of course is the one on his abdomen that says " Straight Edge"

Jeff Hardy

There has been a lot of talk about Jeff Hardy's root tattoos. eventually Hardy is going to have his whole arm covered. He has many ideas but just not enough time to get the job done!

Obviously this is an older picture of The Big Show, but it shows off his tiger tattoo! There are not that many good pictures of his tattoo on the internet. Perhaps no one wanted to get that close??? The Big Show also has a tattoo of a lion on his other shoulder. He is also reported to have a tattoo of his wife's name on his neck and another tattoo on his leg.

Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash made the news last year with his newest addition to his body art, the skull tattoo.

You can't have an article about WWE tattoos without including The Rock! This closeup of his detailed tattoo is done with Samoan symbols that represent his family. This tattoo is very intricate! Symbols in this tattoo include the sun to represent good fortune, leaves of a coconut tree to represent the warrior in him and swirling winds to represent his past. There is much more symbolism in this tattoo of the WWE Wrestler. It took nearly twenty hours to get it done.

The Undertaker

The Undertaker may be perhaps the most tattooed wrestler of the WWE. At six foot 10 and 299 pounds, the Undertaker has been a foreboding figure in the WWE. His presence is a " little on the dark side" and he is an undefeated wrestler in the WWE. As you can see his tattoos are exquisite. The Thinking demon is one of his better known tattoos and is also known as his favorite. He also has more tattoos including a dancing skeleton, and the names of his daughters on his neck.

Rey Mysterio is best known for his tattoo on his back. It has caught a lot of fan attention. He also has his children's names on both of his biceps. Also he has the word Mexican written across his abdomen and 619 on his left forearm. He states this represents where he came from. Most recently he added tattoos of wings to chest.

Dave Batista was a formidable opponent in the ring. He apparently had a fit during a match in 2010 and quit right then. Word has it he hasn't been seen since Scorpion King Three! In 2010 he weighed 290 pounds and was 6'6 tall.

Do you have a favorite wrestler? I have been watching the WWE for a few months now and am always fascinated how much the audience loves the drama and the sport. Please comment below if you love wrestling!

Very interesting hub! I always looked at WWE wrestlers and never really thought about the tattoos they had.
