Growing up, I remember my mother putting aside an hour a week just to fully brush the knots out of my hair.

And that was on top of the good brush I did for myself each morning and evening.

With thick straight hair on top and waves underneath, knots just seemed to appear in my hair, no matter what I did.

Brushing regularly and tying it back were just temporary measures for putting off the inevitable deep comb with spray bottle, brush and comb.

My eldest daughter has fine long hair and by the age of 2.5 brushing was already becoming a drama that had her shying away from the sight of a hairbrush.

And that's when I discovered a way to brush knots out in half the time and almost none of the pain!

In fact, I bought another one for my own hair!

So what's the secret to untangling knotty hair, fine, thick, thin or curly, in just minutes?

The Knot Genie is the secret!

How Does The Knot Genie Work?

The idea is simple but brilliant. There are two rows of bristles. One row is long, one is short. The shorter bristles brush the top layer of hair and the longer layer brush deeper into the hair - giving you a full hair treatment all in one.

And unlike round brushes which don't cover a wide area of hair, the Knot Genie allows for a wider area of hair coverage, with firmer bristles that firmly move through the hair.

Don't worry, the Knot Genie is available in a whole range of colors other than pink!

The Knot Genie

Someone recommended the Knot Genie to me, and I was naturally a bit dubious. In fact I cut my hair just before I got one in the mail, and it made me wish I hadn't.

I purchased one of these for my daughter, and watching our hairbrushing time go from ten minutes of pain to less than a minute of easy brushing, made me order my own.

So - Honest Opinion Time. Are There Any Problems With Knot Genie?

I have super thick tangly hair. I find that the Knot Genie doesn't have quite long enough bristles to fully reach the knots at the bottom of my hair - so I usually have to brush bother under and on top.

Even with two brushes though, it takes a lot shorter time period and a lot less pain than my previous hairbrush.

I wonder if this is the product which first made it's entrance on Dragon's Den. I thought it a great idea at the time. Nice to know that it works very well.

I also have problems with brushing my knotty hair as it leads to more hairfall. I will definitely look for that product, thanks for introducing it. :)
