To those of you who do not know what a man bag is, it is a handbag for men and they are highly fashionable these days for both straight and gay men, as celebrities promote the latest fashionable outfits and shoes they also promote their bags, sales have increased over the last few years for man bags and as a result of this, those terrible designs that first came with them when they were first introduced, I am happy to say have disappeared and more up to date versions are here. (hooraayyy!!!)

The old style ones always looked scruffy after about a weeks wear and made you look untidy, I find that I am lost with out my bag when leave the house, it may sound silly buy im one of these people that cant stand having anything in my pockets because, they either fall out on the floor or when I sit down unexpectedly I hurt myself and talk in a slightly higher key, if you know what I mean.........

I always wear my brown man bag when im wearing blue jeans as it compliments the outfit more and makes me feel a little smarter in my appearance. I have my black man bag for everything else, they have to be the most practical item ever invented for a man as it was only women who had them at one time.

The man bags come in different shapes and sizes some are large and some small, their are designer label ones such as gucci and yves saint lauren (really expensive), then their are the cheaper ones that are more affordable but it does you good to shop around first and compare prices as if you want good quality you will have to pay for it.

Hooraayy!!! for progress.

There's a few new cool different types of manbag that are more bandoliers or slings than bags. The three popular brands are Kangatek, Runnur, and Crosspaq. I recently bought the Kangatek and wrote up a cool review with pictures. Check it out.

Hooray for the man bag-I bought a friend of mine a black one several years ago, mostly for travelling and he loves it. Nice to meet you.

@Danette Watt: there was never a problem for John to carry ANYthing: wallet, notebook, pen, etc He always handed it to me and asked me to put it in my purse!

Thats why most mens cars are messy, no bags to carry stuff in :)

I wonder how men manage to carry all they might need to (like, contact solution if they were contacts). Oh yeah, it's called "the car" - no wonder my husband's and son's vehicles are messes. They don't have a bag to carry stuff like I do.

I've got a leather tool bag. Now stop what you're thinking! Mine holds nails, screws and the like. Seriously though the man bag does seem like a good idea, you could fit a couple of pairs of shoes in, just in case.
