I love karmin flat irons!!!! I got their titanium model like a week ago and I 'm trying to stop myself from using it everyday, lol. It makes hair so shiny I can't believe it :D I got mine online though, apparently it's cheaper and plus mine's from a new site called beyas and they give you money back guarantees and everything. It's really good

I love my babyliss flat iron. As a multi cultural hair stylist, titanium plates are the best hands down! All of my clients are in love after I flat iron their hair!

If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.

      I hope this helps.

This is a great Hub. I have always used a Chi Flat Iron and I love it! I also use it to curl my better than an actually curling iron and takes less time.

Pamela99 - like you I have wavy hair and the more I have used my blow dryer through the years I have added the frizz factor in, but thanks to my Chi ceramic iron I can tame the friz. . and of course my moroccan oil helps to keep it smooth!

Boomer60 - that is so funny that you brought that up as I was just telling a guy friend about how before the flat iron came out we used to literally use an iron! And of course when I was a kid used an orange juice can on top of our heads and then proceeded to wrap the hair around. Sleek and shiny, sure glad the flat iron was invented. . makes the process so much easier!

drbj - ah how I love your visits. You always have a way to keep me keeping on! Thanks for that :)

LeanMan - She is hinting at she needs some help in packing. She cant look beautiful and work so hard at the same time. Get the lady some help and a GHD classic flat iron!!!

Hi, Shari, Although I am not in the market for a flat iron at present, if I ever need one this hub is where I would go. How beautifully you have laid out all the illustrations, the text, and the graphics. You have a fine sense of aesthetics, m'luv.

And the blue dividers are classy. Just wanted you to know.

I remember in the 60s when we used to iron our hair to get it straight. No flat irons then! We went from sleeping in brush rollers and using a can of Aqua Net to the ironing board. Crazy! I have bone straight hair, so I loved the long straight look. Wash and go! My kids and grandchildren all have flat irons and they really look to be a great replacement tool to the steam iron. I agree the Chi is the best!

I just bought a flat iron a few months ago and I wish I had bought the ceramic one. My hair is naturally wavy and has a mind of its own anyway, so I don't use it too often. Your hub looks great. i like the way you have everything laid out.
