Working in a shoe warehouse that supplies over 80 stores throughout the United Kingdom, you get to know very quickly consumer habits, what's hot on the marketplace and what will become hot in the near future.

Every day shoes are sent from the warehouse to the stores and every day new shoes arrive at the warehouse from all over the world, womens shoes, mens shoes childrens and baby shoes.

High Heels have been flying off the shelves this year along with top designer names such as Armani, Prada, Dior, Ted Baker and Gucci.

Crocs since they first came onto the market have had their ups and downs but they keep regular sales all year round.

We all like to relax at home in a nice pair of comfy carpet slippers. there has been a surprising rise in the sales of clogs this year and a massive rise in shoes that are aimed at helping you to lose weight or to help you get fit.

Canvas pumps in various colors have had a massive boost in sales and sneakers such as Converse, Adidas, Nike, New balance, puma, sketchers and Lacoste are a consistent top selling shoe.

Open toed sandals for relaxing on the beach or at home also fly off the shelves including Havianas and Birkinstock.

High Heels

High Heels are hot this year and the women of the UK just cant seem to get enough of them, the warehouse is innundated with orders from the stores and they are flying off the shelves as soon as they arrive in the shops. from wedge heels to stiletto's the Killer Heel is back with a vengeance.

High heels have always been popular but there has been a massive increase in sales in 2008.

The pictures(right) show the top selling Heels from the warehouse.

The designer label, makes shoes more expensive, but the quality and workmanship that goes into making these shoes makes that extra money well spent there has been an influx of orders this year For Armani, Dior, Gucci and Prada, wearing these big names is like a status symbol to some people but they are usually geared toward the fashion concious rather than being worn for practicality or comfort.

Sneakers seem to be the order of the day this year and the top designers have had a roaring trade designer brand sneakers rather than for sporting use have been designed for the casual dresser and are an essential item to add to your wardrobe.

Since Crocs first hit the marketplace they have sold like hot cakes, people have snapped them up in the stores because the are very comfortable to relax in and wear around the home or even on the beach, the only drawback about Crocs was the look but in 2008 the ldesign has changed giving them a a more modern and pleasing to the eye look, Crocs are not only worn for relaxing these days they are now worn by people who work on their feet all day long have chosen Crocs as their favorite.

Converse, Adidas, Nike, New balance, puma, sketchers and Lacoste are a consistent top selling shoe. everyone buys sneakers and everybody owns at least one pair, this year bright colors ar in, and the shinier the material that is used in the making of the shoe the better.

Of course the old classics like converse are still best sellers without conforming to the brght color schemes.

Haviana's remain top for another year, perfect for relaxing on the beach or for around the home and garden, the simple design and many different styles and colors keep Haviana's top of the league.

These rubber flip flops made in Brazil keep flying off the shelves and people keep coming back for more.

Fit Flops are the latest craze to hit the UK, The makers claim that wearing them while walking, will give you longer-looking legs, a smaller butt, improved core muscles and better shock absorpsion.

      I don't own a pair of crocs (yet), but the picture of them reminds me of the LL Bean waterproof boots (can't remember exactly what they were called) I used to wear. These are hopefully more comfy and sounds like they are.
