Feel Confident in Your Swimsuit
Are you sporty? Fit body and need a more sporty swimsuit?
Are you top heavy and need something to minimize the breasts and enhance your lower body too?
Are you hippie? Need to have a swimsuit to minimize your hips and make your ta-ta's look larger?
What body type are you? Well, I am going to start with the tall folks first but continue to read, because these tips for all shapes and sizes will make you feel confident when hitting the beach! Designers have advanced the technology of swimsuits, tummy control to thongs, how cool is that?
Tall and Slendar
Tall and Slender Figure
if you have a long torso no doubt the bikini is best for your body. If you are the tall, long legged beauty (that we all wish to be) then this swimsuit is best for you. However, there are still varies styles of the swimsuit so make sure if you have little perky breasts, the use one that picks you up or has an under-wire and a little padding to add to your size A breast.
But if you have B cup or larger then you may want to find a uplifting top, halter is always good too. However, don't get a strapless, it makes your breast look sagging, so be careful about that. You always want to enhance your breasts and make sure the top is really making them stand up and say hello (if you will).
Bottoms for tall, slender people, most any of them will help your bum. I would recommend the bikini scoop bottom first, then the boy shorts but not a fan of the high waisted because you are taking away from your slender long frame when you put on high rise bikini bottoms. Thongs are optional, if you have a nice butt then go for it! Being tall allows you to be versatile and that is a good thing with bikini bottoms.
Short or Petite
Short or Petite
If you are short or petite then you have to purchase a swimsuit that elongates your body. Like a halter top and a basic scoop bikini bottom. Make sure NO boy shorts/boarding swim trunks or high waisted bottoms. These are so very bad for short women. Make sure if you purchase a one piece that the legs are high waisted because it makes your legs look longer.
Petite women, in my opinion, have the hardest time finding the right fit for their body shape. If you are thick in build and can wear a two piece bathing suit then try the halter or under-wire top (if you aren't too large of a cup size) and a basic scoop bottom. If you are too nervous to wear a two piece then invest in a one piece that sucks everything in, Speedo does a great job with their swimsuits. Or try tankini's but be aware that tankinis are to cover up the tummy but they do not provide tummy control, whereas one piece swimsuits do.
Don't be afraid to try new swimsuits (if you have a good bum try a thong if you can pull it off) and see if your body shape can do something new. If you really want the board shorts, make them the shorter hem version so they elongate your legs. However, be opened minded and set out of our comfort zone and try on something different. Because a basic bikini with a halter top and string bikini bodies can make your body look longer and leaner.
Plus Size Figures
If you are plus size then I highly recommend NOT wearing board/boy shorts, they just make your butt look bigger and not in a good way. Sorry, had to say that first. Next, if you are an hourglass figure, then make sure you flaunt it. If you have the tiny waist and big delicious butt then invest in the right swimsuit. One piece swimsuits can be so sexy and make you look amazing!
The one piece swimsuit that pulls in your waist and the bottoms that sit high up on your thighs or buttocks is best for pear shaped women. Also, don't be afraid to show a little cleavage or bare some skin in the mid section or back. If you prefer a skirt type suit that is your preference but higher the sides of the suit the longer your legs will appear. This can be incredible sexy and total beautiful at the same time. You can wear two piece swimsuit. like the bra type top with under-wire and high waisted bottoms that are snug. but one piece swimsuit makes your figure that much pretty if you pick the right fit, flaunt your assets by making sure your breasts are piled up (under-wire or halter, bra top is good too) and then snug fitting through midsection then high waisted scoop bottom, if you are really tall then go for the mid-rise scoop bikini body. Play with your figure, enjoy it, doesn't matter what size you are be confident, throw your shoulders back, hold your head up high and embrace what you have!
They are your assets to advertise as you see best but make sure you are wearing the right swimsuit for your figure. These hourglass figures look simply wonderful in a beautiful bright color or print!
Swimsuits - A MUST HAVE
During the spring and summer it's important to invest in the right swimsuit. You may have to try on many to find that one that is perfect for your figure. However, I recommend getting two swimsuits and make sure they elongate your body if you are short or a plus size person. These guidelines are here to help you so experiment with styles and see what is best for your shape. Tankinis are good if you need to cover up the mid-section but do no support your stomach, they other one piece swimsuits are better for tummy control.
Pick the right top for your bra size. Under-wire is your friend, experiment with a range of under-wire styles and halter tops. If you are a busty type girl then find the right top that is perhaps a racer back or shoulder straps that minimize your breasts but enhance your shoulders. These tips will help you find the confidence you need when venturing out to the beach or the pool!
