Classic tan color trench coat for women – what to wear with it?

Updated on October 26, 2013

A classic trench coat is an essential part of your wardrobe that will last many seasons. In fact, every woman should have a trench coat in her closet. It is one of the key pieces in your wardrobe. The trench coat is suitable for fall and winter. It will keep you warm and make you look stylish at the same time. This hub is all about trench coats and what you should wear with it.

Burberry is the most well known brand for making trench coats. They have lots of different styles that will match everybody's taste. However, they are also a luxury brand that is known to be very expensive. Most women are not comfortable with spending one thousand dollars at the Burberry store. Not to worry, many well known retailers also make trench coats at very affordable prices. You just have to shop in stores or online to find the style and price that you like the most.

You can wear a trench coat with a dress underneath that is just slightly longer than the coat itself. This is appropriate for spring or fall where you just need a light jacket. You have the option of wearing dark colored tights under the dress for more warmth. To complete the whole look, you can choose a pair of black pumps. The trench coat should be a classic tan color that is belted to accentuate your waist. The dress, tights and pumps should be a darker color to go with the whole outfit.

Classic tan trench coat with skinny jeans – It is great to wear the classic tan trench coat (belt the waistline) with a pair of skinny jeans. The trench coat will look amazing with skinny jeans. The classic tan color tends to look better with a darker shade of jeans. You can choose either black, dark gray, dark navy or even dark green. Complete the look with a pair of similar colored knee height high heel boots.

Classic tan trench coat with straight legged pants and flats – Trench coats do not necessarily need to be wore with high heels. Those that are taller can wear the trench with flats. You should wear a pair of straight legged black pants with a pair of flats. Wear the trench coat and cinched the waist for a causal yet professional look.

Short trench coat with boot cut jeans and heels – You can get a shorter trench coat for variation in your wardrobe. A traditional trench coat really needs to be belted for the best effect. Those that do not like that look can opt for a short trench coat that falls just above the hip bone. This is a great little jacket for colder weather. You can show off your legs by wearing a pair of boot cut jeans and heels for the best results.

Interesting hub! I actually just did some research about the history of Burberry and found how it all developed. You can check it out here and tell me what you thought of it:
