Pinterest Interests- Wedding Hairstyle Ideas #1

Updated on January 17, 2015

Here below I have put together a collection of some hots and some nots in hairstyles that I have found myself pinning like a mad woman. These hairstyles can go for special occasions such as weddings or prom.

1. Waterfall Braid

Here's a beautiful hairstyle called a Waterfall Braid. A twist to this 'do are the curly tendrils coming down from the braid. I think the thickness of the curls help enhance this style giving it a sense of fullness. I wish I could see the front of this style. I wonder what it would look like on a shorter hairstyle too. Though I have seen this in other long styles something about this appears too long but it's still very pretty.

2. Conch Shell Braid

I love this. This seems so intricate. However, it's just a basic fishtail braid that curves to the left and once the fishtail is completed you bun it up and pin in place. Instructions on how to accomplish this gorgeous spin-off of a fishtail braid can be found by clicking the source link below.

3. Loose Braid

Love this loose style. It really gives her face a sense of softness and innocence. Loose braid styles have really taken off and it's easy to see why. They always seem to provide a certain naivete. They appear to be versatile going with wedding gowns or while comfy at a writing desk coming up with the latest inspiration.

4. Big Loose Curls

This one I'm not too sure about. I get the effect that the stylist was trying to make but in my opinion it ends up being too messy in the end. Unlike the loose braid look before it, it misses it's mark to be a soft subtle look. So if this is similar to a look you are going for in your wedding be careful that it doesn't end up looking like a bird's nest on your head. This look can still be pulled off if done the right way.

5. Um....No.

I'm not exactly sure what this bride was going for. If my eyes are seeing this correctly her hair or extensions are waaay too long. It's a very poorly done exaggeration of hair length. Notice the head of the stylist. This gives you a sense of the massive size of the hair. This is the least favorite of all the hairstyles I have here. Am I wrong in this? I'm hoping this was for an onstage performance of some sort and not a wedding. Don't attempt anything like this unless you are positive of the outcome. And hopefully the outcome is a positive one.

6. Flowers In Her Hair

You'll see more of these from me. I love seeing flowers adorn the hair whether artificially made or some of nature's beautiful best. Look at this one. So pretty and so delicate looking. Who wouldn't want flowers in their hair if it looked like this. Not to mention the backdrop of the ocean really helps enhance the softness of the look. Just be careful when having flowers placed in your hair especially if not professionally done. Placement and quantity can be tricky.

Hopefully this will help some wife-to-be gather a few ideas on how they would like to have their wedding hairstyle designed. A flawless hairstyle on one's wedding day is definitely just as essential as the perfect gown. I really enjoy looking at photographs of fashion and thinking about how I'd do something different or how it's perfect just the way it is. All thoughts in this hub are my opinion. I'm not by a long shot an expert but I do enjoy dressing with a bit of fashion sense. Join in with me and let me know your opinions as well. If we enjoy ourselves I may do it again.
