The Swarovski company

The Swarovski Company is well-known for their lines of sparking jewelry, that creates a web of rainbow-hued light. The crystal beads that make up Swarovski crystal jewelry contain approximately 32% lead to maximize refraction are perfectly cut, and are clear. The majority of the color from Swarovski crystals comes from refracted light from the crystal structure.

The Swarovski company was the first jewelry-making company to make use of an automatic crystal cutting machine in 1892. The company uses their comprehensive knowledge and extraordinary experience of crystal forming and cutting techniques to create a solid line of optical products like glasses, sculptures, chandeliers and of course crystals and pearl beads for jewelry.

Swarovski adopted the swan as their logo in 1988. The prior corporate symbol was the Edelweiss, an alpine flower.

Wide Range of Size,Shape,Color and Price

Swarovski Company knows how to make jewelry that appeals to a wide audience and their work is relatively inexpensive except with higher-end products. For instance the very elegant, stunning necklace, bracelet and earring sterling silver and Swarovski crystal jewelry set at the right is a little more than $100.

A representative color chart of Swarovski crystalsgives a good feel for the breadth of their crystal product line. Another appealing factor about Swarovski crystal jewelry is that it is easy to combine the nearly infinite choices together to create a strong fashion statement.

Celebrities Love Swarovski Crystals

Many celebrities choose to wear Swarovski jewelry as a fashion statement. Swarovski's website has a subsection called Crystal News, which spoke of an event called "Swarovski Rocks" that occurred in the United Kingdom about unveiling a new style of crystals. Many celebrities were in attendance to show of the new styles, such as Uma Thurman, Kate Moss, Samuel L Jackson and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Kate Moss wore this flapper frock, reminiscent of the 1920s era. The dress was a replica of one she donned on her first night out with actor Johnny Depp in '94 and is for auction by TopShop on Ebay, benefiting the Prince's Trust.

It has 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals and sells for $60,000.

Uma Thurman was equally fantastic looking but I have left her picture off since she appeared to be in need of some underwear but you can click on the following link to see more celebrities in Swarovski crystals.

The prospect for Swarovski crystals looks even brighter now. Just a couple of years ago, crystal wasn't the ‘in' thing in fashion. Designers were predominantly using dark and sombre-looking clothing, and all the fashion magazines were showing images of celebrities wearing lots of black. Now everywhere we look, we see "bling," using bright and shiny fabrics adorned with sequins, sashes and crystals.

On occasion, celebrities for fashion shows commission entire dresses studded with Swarovski crystal, and this can be quite expensive - up to $200 per yard of fabric.

Swarovski also has an occasional promotion to help create product ideas. Many people who are would-be fashion designers go onto website - a design company that works with Swarovski - and discuss and debate new product ideas for Swarovski. Their willingness to listen to customers also gives them a popularity amongst buyers.

Swarovski jewelry, in addition to being partially user-designed, is also constantly adding new items so it never really gets dated.

Making Swarovski Crystal Earrings

One factor in the popularity Swarovski crystals is the ease of creating jewelry by first time jewelry designers. Earrings are one of the easiest pieces of jewelry to make and with a modest investment in materials and tools the novice jewelry maker can easily create earrings that are elegant and beautiful.

So Do Horses

Horse owners also like dressing up their horses with swarovski decoration

Horseback Wedding

Swarovski Cystals- Bridlle or Bridal?

For a horseback wedding Swarovski crystals are a great choice of wedding jewelry for the bride, the bridesmaids and as we saw above: even the horses. It is easy to find bridesmaid jewelry in colors that compliment the bride's wedding colors and with a little planning and looking around, it is easy to find affordable custom handcrafted swarovski crystal bridal jewelry.
