Wing Tattoos

When it comes to popular tattoo designs, "wing" tattoos rank among the best of them. Wing tattoos are a popular tattoo choice among men and women both. One of the main reasons that wing tattoos are so popular is because they are associated with a variety of different tattoo symbols. They can be designed in a bunch of different variations and styles. Plus, wings can symbolize many different things.

Winged humans and winged creatures have been portrayed throughout history by a variety of different cultures. In Greek and Roman mythology. a winged human names Hermes has wings. Hermes, also called "Mercury", is a messenger of the gods. He has wings on his ankles to help him travel faster.

Out of all winged humans and animals, angels are the most well known. Angels have been portrayed in various cultures of religion. Angel wing tattoos symbolize protection and guidance. Angel wing tattoos can be used to symbolize someone's faith in Christianity and other religions.

Angel wings are a very common symbol is the tattoo world. Some Christians may feel like the angel wing tattoo is a good tattoo choice to symbolize their religion. Some Christians feel that tattooing is wrong, but to some, angel wings can be viewed as a correct tattoo. They can be associated with other Christian symbols, such as the cross and halo.

Many people feel like everyone has a guardian angel to watch over them. Some people want to symbol this so they choose angel wing tattoos. Such tattoos may include a sword with wings. Most of us feel like this design watches over us and we can feel a spiritual connection through the tattoo. For whatever reason you choose, angel wing tattoos are a great choice for females and males.

Angel wing tattoos come in a variety of different designs. Some tattoo designs portray wings around the shoulders and shoulder blades. Other angel wing tattoo designs have the wings down the entire back. Angel wing tattoos are usually white in color, but some tattoo artist have put their own creative spin on the tattoo design and they can come in all different types of colors.

Winged Tattoo Designs

Butterfly Winged Tattoo Designs

Butterfly wing tattoos are a popular choice among many women. There are a large variety of different beautiful butterfly wing tattoos. Tattoo artist can get really creative with these types of wings and they can be designed in all sorts of different ways. Butterfly wing tattoos can come in all kinds of different colors. In fact, no color is out of the question.

Butterfly wing tattoos can represent a variety of different things depending on the wearer. Butterfly wing tattoos can symbolize femininity and delicate. When we look at the butterfly in nature, it is small and fragile. The wings of the butterfly can represent this fact. Butterflies are very beautiful with their multi-colored wings. The same beauty can be portrayed in your tattoo design.

The most popular meaning of the butterfly tattoo is "transformation". The butterfly goes through metamorphosis, where it changes from a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly with wings. Some people who get the butterfly tattoo get it to symbolize this transformation in life. As humans, we all go through different stages in our life. Out cycle of life can be represented by butterfly wings.

In ancient times, butterflies were very symbolic to a number of different cultures. In ancient cultures, butterflies were said to have the ability to carry the souls of the dead. In other cultures, butterflies were thought to be the dead that were transformed. The butterfly wing tattoo can be used to remember our lost loved ones.

Angel Wing Tattoo Designs And More

One of the most common wing tattoo meanings is that they represent "freedom". Freedom is portrayed by all winged tattoos. Angels, birds, butterflies, and anything else with wings has the ability to go wherever they want to go. They have a freedom to fly anywhere. Wing tattoos are a great way to represent your freedom and independence. Winged tattoos may be chosen by someone wanting to express the freedom of being eighteen. Winged tattoo designs may also be chosen by a man or woman with a new sense of freedom, escaping a haunted past that held them back.

As you read earlier, there are a variety of different symbols that are portrayed with wing tattoos. You can see wings in a variety of different designs. The cross and wings are probably one of the more common winged tattoo designs you will see. They can be used to represent life after death or represent a lost loved one. They are portrayed together as one, something representing the circle of life.

Another popular design with wings is the heart and wing tattoo. The heart and wing tattoo can represent a variety of different things. It can be used to represent love and aspirations or the way love makes you feel, like you are flying. At some point, we have all felt this way before so we can relate to this meaning. There is a lot of detail work that goes into winged tattoo designs. Most wing tattoo designs include shading and detail on each feather. Depending on the size of your winged tattoo, there could be a lot of shading and detail needed. Personally, I believe wing tattoos look much better as a larger sized tattoo. The detail work on the wings is what gives this tattoo it's personality.

People get wing tattoos for all kinds of different reasons. Some people like the symbolic meaning and others like the design. For whatever reason it may be, wing tattoos are a beautiful way to represent your religion, life, love, and many more things. You can find wings on butterflies, birds, dragonflies, bats, angels, gargoyles, and many others. Anyone of these can be used in tattoo designs and hold its own symbolic meaning. Make sure you research and look over all possible designs that you may like. Remember to review the tattoo artist and their work before you get your tattoo inked.

These are interesting. I suppose we all feel pretty much the same - if we had wings we could be here today and gone tomorrow. I wouldn't have to long for the states I could be there at any time. Pretty long journey by wing but hey birds do it all the time. lol
