an ode to fast growing hair...

If someone has short hair and is trying to keep it short

Doesn't it bother them when the hair grows back to a certain length?

The length is just right to where it touches the neck

Or tickles the ears

Or just falls in the face too often.

Time to cut it, he thinks.

Time to cut it, she thinks.

But is it worth the price to get a haircut just to trim a little off?

Maybe I should do it myself, he thinks.

Maybe I should do it myself, she thinks.

But do we really want to mess it up?

Do we want to look like clowns if it isn't cut right?

No way.

We want decent haircuts.

We want one where we can see someone else cutting our hair;

Someone who is professional enough to do a decent job-

someone who won't ruin it.

When can we get an appointment?

What? Two weeks you say?

We simply can't wait that long!

This hair is literally driving us nuts!

We think we must take our business elsewhere.

Let me take the first available appointment at this salon, she says.

Let me take the first available appointment at another salon, he says.

Oh good!

We got appointments two days later.

Yay! Off goes my hair! , he says.

Off goes MY hair!, she says.

Decent haircuts, less stress for a while on the subject of hair,

And more money spent.

Such is the life that makes them look presentable.

Thanks Hubertsvoice! Yes, that would be a good thing. You won't have to worry about having a horrible haircut by a stranger. :)

Very cute rhyme. My wife has cut my hair for over twenty years. When she can no longer, ponytail time.

Funny, I grow mine long (a ponytail now)then chop it all off. Just depends on my mood. The hub reminded me of a song by David Crosby. Almost cut my hair. Good hub! Peace!! Tom

Thanks Vinaya. I used to experiment with color and length, but now that it is short, it is hard to do anything with it LOL. Thanks for posting!

      Loved it!

I have experimented with length, color and style. But now I don't experiment with my hair, there is nothing to experiment. LOL
