Diamond Anniversary Rings on Amazon
Diamond Anniversary Rings and Stacking Rings on Amazon
With my 10th anniversary coming up, my husband is getting nervous. He knows I want a special piece of jewelry to commemorate the occasion, but where to start?
Last weekend, we went to a local jeweler to try on some anniversary rings with diamonds all around, some with diamonds just on the front, as well as some trendier stacking rings. But the prices of these pieces was more than we wanted to spend.
Knowing my research on buying engagement rings on Amazon.com, my husband suggested I turn to the internet to find best deal online for a diamond anniversary band. Read on for my findings. And help me decide which option to choose!
What is an Anniversary Band?
"Anniversary Band" is the name given to a ring with diamonds half-way around which can be worn on the same finger as an engagement ring, or on the other hand. While many brides get married with a diamond encrusted band like this, it is more commonly given as an "upgrade", replacing the solid metal band that the couple gets married with. When should this upgrade happen? Usually on a wedding anniversary, hence the name, Anniversary Band.
You don't have to spend a fortune on an Anniversary band, but retail store prices are usually much higher than prices online. Why? the diamonds in these rings are tiny - especially compared with the size diamond that you would put in an engagement ring. They are also far less expensive. Retail prices include a great deal of mark-up to cover store overhead. Without that overhead, great deals can be found online.
Not sure how she wants to wear it? This Garland Style anniversary band from Amazon.com looks great next to an engagement ring, or alone on the right hand.
How big should you go? It is really up to you. Generally speaking, if you are planning on wearing your anniversary band alongside your engagement ring then 1/4 to 1/2 ct tdw (carat total diamond weight of all the stones combined) should be sufficient. If you are planning on wearing the ring alone then by all means feel free to go higher. Just keep in mind the higher the carat weight the clunkier the ring. So when wearing it next to your engagement ring you are pushing your engagement ring up closer to your knuckle.

The perfect accompaniment to a yellow gold engagement ring.
Stackable or Not Stackable?
Does your bride have a princess cut (square) diamond engagement ring? Match it with a princess cut anniversary band like this one for less.
I tried on many of these in jewelry stores in my neighborhood, but the high prices made it impossible to buy more than one to get that stacked look that is so popular. Go online to get the best price and stack away!
Vintage Style Anniversary Rings
Keep romance alive with these antique-look rings
When we first got engaged with my simple platinum pave setting and wedding band, I hoped to one day have a vintage style anniversary band to wear on my other hand. As the years went by and other expenditures took priority, this just never happened. So when we got to the jewelry store last weekend, I immediately made a bee-line to the antique style diamond anniversary bands and tried a few on.
With prices well over $1000, I knew I could find these rings for less on Amazon.com. Here are some of the great picks that I found online.
0.58 Carat (ctw) 14k White Gold Round Diamond Ladies Anniversary Wedding Matching Band Stackable Swirl Ring 1/2 CT
I love the vintage look on this ring, as well as the fact that the back is solid gold - allowing this ring to be resized more easily than an infinity ring where the diamonds go all the way around. At only $549 with free shipping and returns on Amazon.com, this ring satisfies my urge for vintage style and bling, for less!
10k White Gold White Diamond Ring (.25 cttw, H-I Color, I1-I2 Clarity)
If you are looking for the classic flower and vine filigree anniversary band, here it is for a great price. Offered by the Amazon Curated Collection, this piece has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Amazon.com, and comes with their money back guarantee, and a low low price of only $260!
A modern alternative to the Anniversary band
Of all the rings that I tried on, my husband's favorites were the modern stacking rings in yellow, rose and white gold. But since "stacking" by definition requires more than one ring, these options were pricey at our local jewelers. At over $1000 per ring, we knew we would have to head online to find these delicate rings for less.
On Amazon.com we found both a high-end and low-end option. At the top of the scale are the 1/3 ct tw eternity rings by Bonyak Jewelry, pictured above, which are listed for about $600 each. These luxurious rings feature diamonds all the way around and are available in rose, yellow and white gold. For $1800 you can replicate the high end look that would have run us $4000 at the jewelers.
Too pricey? Try this set of 3 stacking rings in 10K gold. In this option, the diamonds do not run all the way around the band. But priced at less than $250, who cares. This is an inexpensive way to get in on one of the hottest trends in jewelry right now.
10k Tri-Colored Gold Diamond Stack Ring (1/4 cttw, J-K Color, I2-I3 Clarity), Set of 3
Diamond Eternity Rings
Looking for an unbroken band of diamonds? Infinity rings are hugely popular and a luxurious symbol over everlasting love. When you are shopping for one of these beauties, make sure you know your ring size and they can't be easily resized. However, you can buy from Amazon with assurance knowing that your purchase can be returned for free.
An infinity ring can be worn alongside your engagement ring or on your right hand. Some women opt for an infinity ring in the same metal as their engagement ring and wear them together, while others will go for a different metal to mix it up. Right now I am salivating over this rose gold eternity ring with 2.0 ct tw round diamonds.
18k Rose Gold Diamond Shared Prong Eternity Ring (2.00 cttw)
Looking for something more traditional? A white or yellow gold infinity ring is always in style. If you are looking for one to wear on its own, look for one with at least 1 ct tdw (Total Diamond Weight). Anything less than that is a more delicate, petite ring meant for stacking. (Sometimes it is hard to tell by just looking at the pictures!)
18k White Gold Round Diamond Eternity Wedding Band (1.15-1.35 CT TDW)
This ring from VIP Jewelry Art on Amazon.com - a well respected Amazon jewelry seller - is substantial enough to be worn on its own, however, it is equally popular for women to wear these larger eternity rings along side their engagement ring.
