it seems like it's lacking in class, which might be a good thing because classy behavior can sometimes be rigid, boring, and elitist so maybe the younger generations (I'm only 20, but I do not like most people my age or younger) are rebelling against formal conventions. What you saw in the 60's you're seeing now, baring more skin, experiments with bright colors and bold patterns, and rejecting formal attire in all but the most strictly formal occasions, and even then being a bit more lax on the "rules". For example, no one really thinks you don't wear white after labor day, and some young athletes a few years ago caused a mini scandal for wearing *gasp* flip-flops to a White House function. I think a lot of the formalities are dying in general. It's just that society is evolving.
